Description

Strategic Risk Consulting (SRC) is a part of the wider Risk & Analytics division within Corporate Risk and Broking, which provides an integrated approach to risk management in the current complex global business environment. SRC is a diverse team, with a global footprint and consists of actuaries, engineers, natural catastrophe modelers and enterprise risk management specialists. SRC helps companies identify, quantify, and prioritize their major risks, and connect risk management decisions to corporate financial performance.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Risk Consultant within our SRC practice. You will be at the forefront of innovation and technology and get involved in a wide range of fascinating projects.

You will lead the delivery of data-driven insightful analyses to some of the world’s largest and complex organizations. Your modelling skills will be used to help clients quantify their risk and develop risk transfer strategies that exploit arbitrage opportunities among mitigation, transfer, and retention levers and align risk decisions with financial strategy enhancing organizational resilience and maximizing performance.

The Role

  • Oversee and perform modeling analysis for clients’ risks by applying standard actuarial techniques as well as WTW proprietary tools

  • Ensure quality of work by participating in our peer reviewing process

  • Maintain a comprehensive audit trail for all analytical work

  • Present analytical results and recommendations to clients in a timely and professional manner

  • Ability to direct work for more junior colleagues and provide feedback and coaching

  • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with internal WTW client relationship managers through effective communication and quality execution of projects

  • Support the development of new business opportunities and enhancing existing relationships

  • Participate in Research & Development of new initiatives as required

Qualifications

The Requirements

  • 5+ years of risk/insurance analytic experience, actuarial experience desirable

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to clearly explain technical concepts to different audiences

  • Client facing experience preferred

  • Good understanding of how insurance coverages operate

  • Work well in a team environment

  • Project management skills preferred

  • Well-organized, intellectual curiosity and positive attitude

  • Experience using AI models for project research

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, programming skills (R) desirable

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).

Compensation

The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $130,000.00-$175,000.00 USD annually. This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
