The Sr. Analyst is responsible for supporting the financial, economic and risk analysis evaluation of organic growth projects, acquisitions, divestitures and mergers and other business initiatives.

What You Will Do:
  • Support economic modeling, deal structuring, PPA and renewable energy credit (REC) modelling, valuation and structuring, and PTC and/or ITC structuring and valuation for all greenfield and all M&A projects in U.S. and Canada

  • Support offtake/revenue modelling and structuring in partnership with Origination team to optimize the best offtake pricing and structuring with customers for all greenfield and all M&A projects in U.S. and Canada, including assessment of basis risk, curtailment and negative pricing

  • Support assumption intake from all key subject matter expert areas including, but not limited to, Treasury, Investment Review, Tax, Legal, Projects, Supply Chain, and Operations

  • Liaise with key third party consultants including, but not limited to, financial advisors, appraisers, accounting firms and market research firms

  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams across the organization and externally to execute valuation process

Who You Are:Required:
  • A university degree with 2 or more years of meaningful experience.

  • Experience in financial modeling and business evaluation, as well as modeling of offtake structures including basis risk, curtailment and negative prices.

  • Proficient in Excel and Powerpoint

  • Ability to balance multiple priorities with the flexibility to accommodate different work styles

  • Ability to work within a team environment.

Preferred:
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory, taxation and accounting issues.

  • Prior experience in commercial development/acquisition and/or operations of infrastructure assets beneficial.

  • Business education (MBA and/or CPA, CFA, CBV and/or MSc in Business Analytics) considered an asset

  • Proficiency in Python coding language considered an asset

  • Occasional site visits may be required from time-to-time

Physical Requirements (Include but are not limited to):

Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

Salary:
  • Ranges from $75,000 - $95,000.00 CAD for Ontario locations based upon candidate's experience, skills, and internal equity.
