About the Team:

The NFE (Network Facilities & Energy) organization is a highly agile, fast paced, and dedicated group at the front‑of‑line change focused on innovating, building, and operating the best in class, most reliable access network for our customers. This team is responsible for the hardware testing of the company’s products and devices for deployment in customer homes and the Comcast plant.

What You’ll Do:
  • Executes physical and environmental testing of hardware (cable modems, set top boxes, amplifiers, optical nodes, RF signal splitters, optical components) for deployment into the Comcast network.
  • Executes existing test plans.
  • Interfaces with Network Engineering to maintain the integrity of the test bed area.
  • Tests and certifies to industry standards from the SCTE, CableLabs, IEEE, MIL, Telcordia, ASTM, IEC.
  • Works with vendors on new product releases.
  • Maintains consistent records and documentation of all tests and certifications.
  • Keeps the appropriate people informed and aware of the status and progress of work activities and business issue.
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance.
  • Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
