Overview of Role: 

The Lead Wireless and Radio Frequency Engineer (Senior) leads the design and deployment of enterprise wireless LAN solutions for Department of Defense installations, focusing on 802.11ax/Wi-Fi 6E environments developed from the ground up. Key responsibilities include conducting RF site surveys, developing wireless architectures and security, coordinating spectrum management and regulatory compliance, integrating wireless solutions with wired infrastructure, producing formal wireless design documentation, leading wireless qualification testing, and ensuring all systems meet DoD and Air Force standards and security requirements. The role also involves RF propagation modeling, interference analysis, spectrum certification coordination, and 5G readiness assessment as required. 

Roles and Responsibilities: 

Leads the design and deployment of enterprise wireless LAN solutions for DoD installations, specializing in greenfield 802.11ax/Wi-Fi 6E environments built from the ground up. Conducts RF site surveys and develops wireless LAN designs from scratch; engineers 802.11 security architectures; coordinates spectrum management and RF regulatory compliance; integrates WLAN solutions with wired backbone infrastructure; develops wireless sections of formal design packages; leads wireless qualification testing; and ensures all wireless systems meet DoD and Air Force wireless standards and security requirements.  RF propagation modeling and interference analysis; spectrum certification coordination with DoD/NTIA; 5G readiness assessment (as applicable) "Network Operations Specialist / 

Systems Architect" 

Educational and Certification Requirement:  

 Over 10 years' experience and a M.A./MS degree.  

CWNA, CWDP, CWSP, or Cisco wireless certs (CCNP Wireless); RF design tools experience; 802.11ax/Wi-Fi 6E 

Must have an Active Secret Clearance
