Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead hardware development of AESA, digital beam forming, analog beam forming system.
  • Develop, implement, and validate procedure to calibrate multiple communication systems in RF Anechoic chamber.
  • Work with engineering fellows to design RF architecture to meet customer system requirements.
  • Act as Control Account Manager (CAM), owning the RF team's budget and schedule for a given project.
  • Lead laboratory integration of hardware, software, and firmware, and demonstrate to customers.
  • Complete Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) block diagram, component identification, circuit simulation, schematic capture, board layout, and fab in Altium, HFSS, Spice, Geneys, HyperLynx, Visio.
  • Work with facilities to relocate mmWave Anechoic test chamber to another building and expand test capability to Ka-band.
  • Manage suppliers through PWB fabrication, CCA assembly; coordinate with supply chain to ensure all Purchase Orders are completed timely.
  • Manage other engineers and technicians in the lab.
  • Perform make vs buy analysis for optimal solution.
  • This is an on-site position, 9/80 schedule.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Four-year college degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline, plus a minimum of five years related experience, or a master's degree with three years of experience.
  • Experience in RF design, laboratory testing, AESA, digital beam forming, analog beam forming, antenna measurements, and implementing firmware to adjust RF performance.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to use personal computer software such as MATLAB and Altium
  • Mental ability to perform engineering problem solving and analytical tasks.
  • Must be able to work under project deadlines and associated cost and schedule constraints.
  • SATCOM experience preferred
  • Ability to obtain a DOD Security Clearance

Cubic Pay Range:

$115,000.00 - $131,000.00 + benefits.

The Cubic pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
