Job description

The Process Development Sr. Scientist independently conceives, designs, implements, and advances scientific experiments that support the successful completion of projects and organizational goals. This role provides expert-level scientific input, develops robust experimental strategies, interprets complex data, and functions as a lead technical resource or project leader. The Sr. Scientist introduces new technologies, drives innovation, and contributes to high‑impact scientific and technical documentation.

FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Independently design, monitor, and conduct experiments or series of studies to advance projects, technologies, or scientific understanding.
  • Prepare novel protocols and experimental designs, ensuring scientific rigor and reproducibility.
  • Provide advanced data analysis, interpretation, and recommendations based on experimental outcomes.
  • Expand scientific knowledge beyond core expertise and identify relevant external competitive insights.
  • Introduce new or advanced technologies, methodologies, and concepts to strengthen scientific capabilities.
  • Serve as a key contributor or leader within independent research or project teams.
  • Make proactive decisions that support milestone achievement and project success.
  • Plan detailed procedures for defined projects, including timelines, milestones, methodologies, expected results, and resource needs.
  • Lead department-wide initiatives such as safety programs, recruiting efforts, and committee participation.
  • Initiate productive collaborations across departments or external partners.
  • Contribute to scientific journal articles, technical reports, and complex documentation as lead author when applicable.
  • Provide clear, detailed interpretation of scientific results and their relevance to project objectives.
  • Ensure generation of robust, reliable data that supports process development and scientific decision‑making.

  • Bachelor’s degree + 5 years of scientific experience

Preferred academic backgrounds: Engineering, Microbiology, or related scientific fields.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Validation experience in highly regulated industries.
  • Experience with filling validation, process validation, or technical documentation.
  • Strong background in engineering, microbiology, or related scientific disciplines.
  • Experience generating technical documentation in compliance-driven environments.
  • 6-month contract with possible extension
