Job description

Our Client is seeking an experienced Microsegmentation Engineer to support a global migration from ColorTokens to Illumio as part of a large-scale merger and integration initiative. This role will partner closely with architects, network engineers, and security teams to design, implement, and optimize microsegmentation policies that enhance security and enforce least-privilege access across enterprise environments.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead and support the implementation and migration of Illumio micro-segmentation solutions.
  • Design and enforce segmentation policies to secure applications, servers, and network communications.
  • Analyze and classify application and infrastructure traffic, including DNS, Active Directory, ports, and protocols.
  • Develop tagging strategies, governance standards, and security policy frameworks.
  • Collaborate with network, security, and operations teams to integrate microsegmentation into existing environments.
  • Document architecture, policies, procedures, and implementation plans.
  • Support legacy and modern infrastructure by improving visibility and reducing attack surfaces.
  • Drive project milestones, technical deliverables, and migration activities across global teams.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience implementing or migrating to Illumio (migration experience from ColorTokens highly preferred).
  • Strong network engineering and architecture knowledge, including routing, switching, TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Strong systems administration background with expertise in server communications, ports, and security policies (Windows environments preferred).
  • Hands-on experience designing and implementing microsegmentation solutions.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and technical documentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across multiple teams and global business units.
  • Enterprise-scale security transformation or merger/integration projects.
  • Zero Trust architecture and least-privilege access models.
  • Security policy governance and network security design.

The pay range for this position is $47.94 - $71.57/hr.
