In this role, you will mature the Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) function ensuring reliability and performance of organization's systems and applications. This role involves empowering every person and every team at LPL to observe shared reality of the LPL application health and performance, drive accountability and derive actionable insights through self-service, effective standards and efficient usage of observability and automation platforms

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop roadmaps, plans and metrics that communicate the operational excellence vision/progress. Sets a high bar for results through continuous learning and high degree of observability and automation reducing manual operations across all layers.
  • Partner with Development and Operational teams to ensure the products are designed with observability, reliability and performance in mind promoting Operational Excellence.
  • Promote the vision and drive organizational transformation through establishing/maintaining relationships with key stakeholders across the organization, including engineering, operations, and management
  • Create best-in-class reports and prepare presentations related to LPL's Operational Excellence that are SVP+, C-Suite, and Board ready.
  • Build core SRE foundations and drive adoption by ensuring the observability and automation platforms are leveraged appropriately and effectively used by operations and development teams to drive down MTTD and MTTR
  • Drive integration of MELT and ensure metrics and logs are effectively used for detection and triaging across app, infra, cloud native and SAAS based platforms
  • Create and promote the culture of continuous learning implementing changes preventing recurrence and enabling actions for early detection and self healing.

Requirements:
  • Progressive experience in technology leadership roles that span across product development, and operational support leadership roles preferably within a financial service or related FinTech firm.
  • 7+ years of developing, cultivating, and leading strong, high-performing teams.
  • 3+ years in Operation support role leading SRE transformation.
  • Ability to create a strategy/plan that articulates and incorporates compelling Operational Excellence vision.
  • Expert communication skills, both written and oral, with ability to create/present executive presentations and serve as one of the recognized subject matter experts on the team

Pay Range:
$132,767.00 - $221,347.00
Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
