Job description

Senior Transportation Engineer – Aviation
We are seeking a self-motivated Senior Transportation Engineer/Project Manager to support our aviation projects. The engineer may choose to work from any of our ICE offices across the Southeast. ICE has a highly successful operation in Florida and Louisiana with numerous on-call contracts, and a healthy backlog of work. Relocation will be paid for qualified candidates. Hybrid of Office and Work from Home available.
Position Responsibilities
As Senior Transportation Engineer/Project Manager, the daily responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Design runways, taxiways, aprons and other airfield projects using FAA Advisory Circulars
  • Design landside facilities such as roads, parking, and utilities
  • Supervise designers and CADD technicians
  • Performs and/or leads civil design using knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Works with other engineering disciplines and professionals in the coordination of the project under the direction of the Aviation Service Director.
  • Manage construction projects as the owner’s representative
  • Obtain permits from local municipalities and statewide agencies

Education and Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field with a minimum of 4 years of aviation design experience with detailed knowledge of FAA standards is preferred.
  • Senior positions are available for candidates with 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in design programs is preferred (AutoCAD Civil 3D, ArcGIS, Microsoft Excel, etc.).
  • Ability to efficiently complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision with a focus on client service.
  • Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Willingness and ability to learn new job skills.
