A leading U.S. law firm is seeking an experienced Real Estate Finance Counsel to join its Atlanta office. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior real estate finance lawyer to take a leading role on sophisticated commercial real estate finance transactions.

This is an opportunity to join a leading real estate practice and take a senior role advising on sophisticated commercial real estate finance transactions, with significant responsibility for transaction management, diligence and documentation.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The successful candidate will lead and manage commercial real estate finance transactions, advising on matters from initial diligence through to closing.

  • Leading commercial real estate finance transactions.
  • Managing real estate diligence, including title, survey, zoning and collateral review.
  • Drafting and negotiating complex loan documentation.
  • Drafting and negotiating other agreements relating to the origination of commercial real estate loans.
  • Working closely with clients and other stakeholders to manage transactions efficiently and effectively.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE

The successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies:

  • 7+ years' relevant legal experience, with a strong focus on commercial real estate finance.
  • Demonstrated experience leading commercial real estate finance transactions.
  • Strong knowledge of real estate diligence matters, including title, survey, zoning and collateral issues.
  • Significant experience drafting and negotiating sophisticated loan documents and related transaction agreements.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues.
