Job description

Threadline Wealth is an independent SEC-registered investment adviser serving high-net-worth individuals, families, and business owners. We combine sophisticated wealth management and investment solutions with a highly personalized client experience.

We are a modern independent firm focused on long-term growth, operational excellence, and thoughtful collaboration across advisory, investment, operations, and client service teams.

Role Summary

The Senior Associate Advisor plays a key role in delivering comprehensive wealth management and financial planning services to clients. Working closely with Wealth Advisors and Senior Wealth Advisors, this individual serves as a capable co-advisor and project manager across assigned client relationships, helping drive planning, implementation, and the overall client experience.

Senior Associate Advisors are expected to own the execution of client work, proactively identify developing client needs, contribute planning recommendations, and provide guidance to less experienced team members. This role is designed for an advisor who has developed a strong technical foundation and is building the judgment, client presence, leadership skills, and external network necessary to advance to a Wealth Advisor role.

This position may be based in San Francisco Bay Area, depending on business needs and candidate fit. The role follows a hybrid work model, with regular in-office collaboration expected approximately 3–4 days per week. Because our advisory teams serve clients across multiple markets, some travel for client meetings and other business needs should be expected.

Visa Sponsorship : Threadline Wealth is unable to provide employment visa sponsorship for this position. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored visa support.

Core Responsibilities
  • Complete complex financial planning analyses and plan preparation independently with limited rework
  • Develop initial planning recommendations for routine and moderately complex client situations and refine recommendations in collaboration with Wealth Advisors and Senior Wealth Advisors

  • Direct case preparation and guide Associate Advisors in client data gathering, analysis, and planning support
  • Monitor client financial roadmaps and proactively recommend appropriate next steps
  • Prepare complete, accurate client review materials and identify planning opportunities, risks, and evolving client needs
Implementation & Client Service
  • Own end-to-end execution of client deliverables, recommendations, follow-up activities, and timelines
  • Anticipate client and team needs and resolve routine issues proactively before escalation
  • Help ensure all client commitments are completed accurately and on time
  • Coordinate with clients' CPAs, attorneys, and other professional advisors to support planning and implementation
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of market and economic developments and their potential impact on client portfolios and planning strategies
Project & Practice Management
  • Direct engagement planning and drive client work through clear timelines, milestones, and ownership
  • Delegate work effectively to Associate Advisors and other team members
  • Monitor deadlines and proactively communicate capacity, scheduling, or execution risks
  • Review team work products and provide timely, substantive feedback
  • Balance multiple client relationships and priorities while maintaining quality and responsiveness
  • Participate as a confident, well-prepared co-advisor in client meetings
  • Present planning observations, analyses, recommendations, and implementation updates as appropriate
  • Build direct rapport and credibility with clients through thoughtful, proactive communication
  • Surface developing client needs, concerns, and opportunities to the lead advisor.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and mentorship to Associate Advisors and newer team members
  • Delegate work thoughtfully and create appropriate stretch opportunities for developing team members
  • Review work and provide timely, constructive feedback
  • Contribute to team development, knowledge sharing, and process improvement
  • Model strong communication, accountability, and collaboration across the advisory team
Growth & Community
  • Build and maintain a growing professional network through industry, community, and professional organizations
  • Develop relationships with clients' broader professional advisor networks and centers of influence
  • Articulate Threadline Wealth's full service offering and value proposition
  • Develop exploratory questioning and business-development awareness through client and prospect interactions
  • Contribute relevant client insights and observations to team growth discussions
Qualifications

  • 3+ years of wealth management, financial planning, or investment advisory experience required
  • Experience working in an RIA, public accounting, family office, or professional services environment preferred
