Job description

Here at Siemens, we take pride in enabling sustainable progress through innovative rail technology. We do this through empowering customers by combining the real and digital worlds. Improving how we live, work, and move today and for the next generation! We know that the only way a business thrives is if our people are thriving. That’s why we always put our people first. Our global, diverse team would be happy to support you and challenge you to grow in new ways. Who knows where our shared journey will take you?
Who designs your future? You do.
Are you looking for a 10–12-week internship where you can showcase your technical aptitude and passion for problem-solving to ensure customers can work in a comfortable, safe, and energy-efficient environment? Does gaining hands-on experience, real-world skills, and valuable knowledge while developing yourself professionally sound exciting to you? Then look to the Siemens Mobility Internship Program!
We are looking for a Rail Infrastructure Project Management Assistant Intern. This position will be based at our New York City area branch located in New York.
During your summer journey with us, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the Project Execution Department of Rail Infrastructure of North America where you will be assigned to one of our project teams delivering CBTC solutions in the NY subway. You will interact with project managers, commercial project managers and many other engineers in planning, designing and progress controlling.
You will contribute rolling out/improving project execution excellence initiatives such as work package management, schedule management, contract management, etc. You will be trained on existing initiatives and processes first, before joining workshops and conducting interviews with project team members and management. You will collect improvement ideas, align with the team, update or create new process descriptions and provide training of the new areas to the project team members. The Intern will benefit from strong attention and regular support provided by the supervisor of the internship
If you are a rising junior or senior pursuing an undergraduate degree, live near New York City, and are ready to discover the amazing opportunities that the rail industry has to offer then look no further
