About Corewell Health Wayne Hospital

Corewell Health Wayne Hospital opened its doors to western Wayne communities in 1957. This full-service hospital is the only hospital in the Wayne, Westland, Garden City, Canton, Inkster and Romulus area verified by the American College of Surgeons as a Level III Trauma Center. The hospital has a longstanding partnership with Detroit Metropolitan Airport and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to handle a wide variety of health and communicable disease concerns including mass trauma and emergency patients.

Scope to Work

Under limited supervision, the Senior Special Procedure Tech provides direct care pre, intra, and post for patients undergoing Heart and/or Vascular procedures to assist physicians and delivers quality patient/family centered care. The incumbent may be required to perform IV starts, prep patients, monitor hemodynamics, operate equipment, document procedures, vascular access site management, and provide patient/family education

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or equivalent in Cardiovascular technology/basic science, Paramedic License, Exercise Physiologist, training and/or education Required.
  • Required Interventional Radiology requires completion of an accredited radiography program (JRCERT).
  • 3 years of relevant experience as an Interventional Radiologist Technologist Required.
  • Employee must be an expert and able to train others in the clinical skills listed within below grid per each individual department and/or site scope required.
  • If the department is a combination of specialties employee must be an expert in all areas that are performed required.
  • Required Basic Computer skills, math skills, exceptional communication skills, and outstanding customer service skills.
  • Cath Lab must be on site within 30 min. IR Call response time may vary by facility.
  • CRT-Radiographer (R)-ARRT American Registry of Radiological Technologist IR Upon Hire Required.
  • CRT-Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI) ARRT-American Registry of Radiological Technologist IR Upon hire Required Or
  • CRT-Cardio Vascular Imaging (CI) ARRT-American Registry of Radiological Technologist IR Upon Hired Required.
  • CRT-Radiographer (R)-ARRT American Registry of Radiological Technologist Cath Lab & EP Lab Upon Hire Required Or
  • CRT-Reg Card Inter Specialist (RCIS)-CCI Int'L-Cardiovascular Credentialing International Cath Labe & EP Lab Upon Hire Required Or
  • CRT-Reg Card Elect Specialist (RCES)-CCI Int'l-Cardiovascular Credentialing International Cath Lab & EP Lab Upon Hire Required.
  • CRT-Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)-AHA-American Heart Association Cath Lab & EP Lab Upon Hired Required.
