Job description

A Day in Your Life at MKS:

As Sr Quality Engineer, you will partner with Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Engineering and be responsible for quality engineering activities related to the support of our Flow and Valve products. In this role, you will report to the Quality Engineering Manager. This is a hybrid role; however this person must be able to come in as needed.

You Will Make an Impact By:
  • Apply strong problem-solving skills to determine root cause(s) and follow through of robust corrective and preventive action in a timely manner using 8D process
  • Lead and mentor cross functional teams to resolve quality issues and drive product Continuous Improvement activities utilizing Quality Improvement teams
  • Conduct or support Design FMEA and Process FMEA as well as Control Plans
  • Use statistical methodology to analyze data and implement action plans for control
  • Establish and maintain key parameters for control of process using SPC in manufacturing
  • Coach and lead cross-functional teams for Kaizen/Lean/Six Sigma improvement projects
  • Data analysis using Excel and Microsoft Power BI a plus
  • Perform internal and external QMS audits with timely closure of findings
  • Produce clear and concise documents including procedures, reports, training materials and quality records

Travel Requirements: Up to 5% of Travel is required.

Skills You Bring:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Chemistry, Material Science, or equivalent and 5+ years of Quality / Manufacturing Engineering experience
  • Customer / Supplier interaction experience
  • Experience with Quality and Reliability methodologies and tools such as 8D, FAI, FMEA, DMAIC, Gage R&R, DFx, DOE, Six Sigma, etc.
  • Familiarity with inspection methods, and analytical metrology plus the ability to use inspection equipment
Preferred Skills: (Optional)
  • Technical knowledge applicable to pressure products, Electro-mechanical and Metrology/calibration
  • Experience in Test Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Design Engineering
  • Experience with Supplier Source Inspection and Supplier Audits

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary Pay Range: Total Base Pay Range $ 88,425.00 - 147,375.00 per year. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law.

Bonus: This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in an amount to be determined by MKS [or as applicable].
