Sr. Quality Technician (Clean Room)

Integrity Trade Services is hiring a Sr. Quality Technician (Clean Room)for our manufacturing client to start immediatelyup to $34/hr DOE! Receive comprehensive benefits through our client upon hire!

Responsibilities:

The** Clean Room Quality Technician** plays a key role in supporting customer-specific quality standards and clean room manufacturing processes. This position is responsible for conducting inspections, performing testing, verifying processes, and maintaining quality documentation to ensure compliance with internal standards, customer requirements, and the Quality Management System.

In collaboration with Production, Engineering, and Quality Engineering teams, this role serves as the primary quality contact for clean room operations. The technician supports issue resolution, containment efforts, inspection systems, and continuous improvement initiatives for both current and upcoming clean room programs.

  • Conduct receiving, in-process, and final inspections within the clean room to confirm products meet internal standards, customer specifications, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Adhere to clean room protocols including gowning, PPE usage, contamination control, and housekeeping practices to maintain a controlled environment.
  • Perform product testing and verification using approved equipment and methods, including mechanical, dimensional, surface, and cleanliness evaluations (e.g., peel, tensile, torque, dyne, particulate, and dimensional testing).
  • Utilize inspection and testing equipment such as Keyence systems, Instron machines, microscopes, calipers, gauges, and other approved tools to ensure product conformity.
  • Monitor product quality throughout production using SPC, routine inspections, and process checks; collaborate with Production and Engineering to resolve nonconformances and support corrective actions.
  • Identify and document nonconforming materials and assist in coordinating containment actions, including handling internal rejects, supplier-related issues, quarantine processes, and NCR documentation.
  • Review and interpret inspection and test data, generate reports, and maintain accurate records including inspection logs, test reports, Certificates of Analysis (COAs), and traceability documentation in accordance with company and customer requirements.
  • Conduct Layered Process Audits (LPAs), 5S checks, clean room audits, and other quality system evaluations to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement.
  • Support calibration of inspection and testing equipment, assist with maintaining SOPs and work instructions, and contribute to PPAP, validation, and other quality-related initiatives as needed.

**Location: **Grand Rapids, MI

Schedule/Shift Details:Second Shift, Monday-Thursday 3:30pm-4AM

  • Overtime as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in using measurement and inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, optical systems, microscopes, and Keyence equipment
  • Experience with Instron or similar testing systems preferred
  • Working knowledge of SPC, Control Plans, sampling plans, and GD&T
  • Understanding of clean room protocols, contamination control, and gowning/PPE requirements
  • Strong attention to detail with accurate documentation and recordkeeping abilities
  • Ability to recognize quality issues, assist with investigations, and coordinate containment activities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate degree, technical certification, or related training in Quality, Compliance, or a similar field preferred
  • Two or more years of experience in manufacturing quality or a related technical role preferred
  • Experience in automotive, medical device, or clean room manufacturing environments preferred
  • Experience with particulate testing, cleanliness validation, or contamination control is a plus
  • Experience supporting PPAP, validation processes, and customer-specific quality requirements preferred

Physical Demands:

  • This role involves working in both office and production settings, with a significant portion of time spent in clean room environments. The position requires wearing appropriate PPE and clean room attire in accordance with company policies. Responsibilities may include prolonged standing or walking, frequent use of hands for operating inspection equipment, handling materials, conducting tests, and performing data entry. The role may also involve lifting up to 25 pounds. Regular computer use is required for documentation, reporting, and communication with internal teams, suppliers, and customers.
