A client is a global pharmaceutical manufacturing organization and is seeking a Part-Time QA Associate to support the Quality Assurance (QA) team in maintaining the site's Quality Management Systems (QMS). This role will help ensure that manufacturing and Quality Control (QC) activities related to the production and testing of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) for human use comply with established company procedures and applicable cGMP and ICH regulations.
Located in Kalamazoo, MI
Part time 20 hours/week
Pay:
$18-20/hour
Key Responsibilities
  • Review laboratory records for raw materials and disposition materials in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Coordinate and prepare records for off-site storage, including inventory documentation and shipment to an external records storage provider.
  • Support data collection and compilation activities for campaign reporting.
  • Support the QA group in maintaining and improving Quality Management Systems.
  • Assist in ensuring site compliance with cGMP requirements and ICH guidelines and support ongoing inspection readiness.
  • Assist QA management with hosting regulatory and customer audits.
  • Review methods of analysis and analytical methods as directed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments to review change control documentation and support timely completion of changes.
  • Collaborate with relevant departments to ensure deviations are investigated and CAPAs are completed in a timely manner.
  • Escalate critical or major investigations to QA management as appropriate.
  • Review monthly QC and Production maintenance schedules and verify that maintenance is completed according to established schedules.

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements
  • Associate's degree in a science-related field or equivalent experience required; Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline preferred.
  • 0-3 years of experience in a pharmaceutical quality environment, including Quality Control and/or Quality Assurance experience.
  • Working knowledge of cGMP, ICH guidelines, and pharmaceutical industry best practices preferred.
