Job description

This is an energy trading and infrastructure asset investment firm, redefining how data and technology drive the future of global energy trading. Now looking for experienced full-stack engineers to join the Data Science & Technology team in Houston.
This team is pivotal in giving the firm a competitive edge, and this role offers the opportunity to build Python-based services and custom APIs using modern frameworks and best-in-class design patterns. You'll partner directly with the front office to optimize trading processes, as well as designing cloud-native tools (e.g. visualization & analytics interfaces) that integrate seamlessly with the trading platform.
If you like to solve complex, high-impact challenges at scale using a modern, open-source technology stack, this position would be perfect for you.
Requirements
  • 5+ years' professional full-stack software engineering experience in Python, React or Angular
  • Deep understanding of OO programming
  • Exposure to AWS & Snowflake technologies
  • Familiarity with Linux and Windows environments
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
  • Ability to communicate effectively with with a wide range of users ranging from very technical to non-technical
  • Prior exposure to / demonstrated interest in finance, quant trading, or commodities markets
