Machine Learning Developer

The Search Platform at Priceline is the intelligence layer behind how millions of travelers discover and book hotels, flights, rental cars, and packages every day.   • We train our models using Google's Vertex AI

  • We process large quantities of data streamed from many different applications to test and build our models

  • We leverage VertexAI Platform to assist in labeling tasks

Who you are:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Machine Learning / AI, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, etc.

  • 3+ years of experience with demonstrated technical skills in one or more of the following areas: NLP, Classification, Statistical Modelling, Deep Learning and Forecasting.

  • Experience in implementing artificial intelligence/machine learning solutions in Python and PyTorch, scikit-learn.

  • Professional experience developing machine learning models

  • Experience working with Spark/Pyspark on large and noisy datasets and the steps it takes normalize and cleanse them

  • Experience evaluating and improving existing machine learning models

  • Eagerness to learn new techniques, technologies, solve problems and contribute in a team environment

  • Experience with Tensorflow, Keras, Pandas, Numpy and Flask

  • Experience with data engineering and ETL pipelines using Airflow, Spark, Kafka, or similar.

  • Hands-on with feature store design, embedding models, or learning-to-rank techniques (e.g., XGBoost, LightGBM, deep LTR)

  • Illustrated history of living the values necessary to Priceline: Customer, Innovation, Team, Accountability and Trust.

  • Exposure to real-time inference and streaming data pipelines (Kafka, Spark, Flink).
    Background in user behavior modeling and causal inference for ranking.

There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. In addition to a competitive base salary, certain roles may be eligible for an annual bonus and/or equity grant.

The salary range for this position is $155,000-180,000 CAD.
