Job description

Senior DevOps Integration Specialist

The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior DevOps Integration Specialist to join the Boeing Cloud and Developer Platform team in Seattle, WA; Chicago, IL; Hazelwood, MO; Kent, WA; Long Beach, CA; Mesa, AZ; North Charleston, SC; Plano, TX; or Tukwila, WA.

This individual will help us design, develop and deploy solutions in the External Azure/AWS (Amazon Web Services) Cloud.

The successful candidate must provide leadership to identify, evaluate, architect, support, document and automate administration of identity solutions focused on Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Driectory (AD)) and Active Directory. The role emphasizes Entra ID-managed identity architectures, Microsoft Graph Application Programming Interface (API) integrations, identity lifecycle automation, and infrastructure-as-code deployments on Microsoft Azure.

This individual will be experienced administering Microsoft Active Directory Domain Services (ADDS), although the primary identity focus for this role is Entra ID and modern identity protocols and automation.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Secure, deploy, and automate the administration of Microsoft Active Directory and Entra ID

  • Design and implement Entra ID Managed Identity solutions and integrations

  • Develop and automate identity lifecycle management using Microsoft Graph API, Entra ID PowerShell (Azure PowerShell Software Development Kit (SDK)), and System for Cross-domain Identity Management (SCIM) where applicable

  • Implement and maintain Entra ID capabilities: Entra ID Connect (Azure AD Connect), Conditional Access, Privileged Identity Management (PIM)

  • Drive adoption of PIM and other Entra ID security controls

  • Secure, deploy, and automate the administration of Windows infrastructure deployed on Azure

  • Implement and support modern authentication protocols including Open Authorization (OAuth) 2, Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML), and Fast IDentity Online 2 (FIDO2)

  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) deployment using Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates and integrate with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines

  • Support the deployment and management of administrative services for infrastructure on Azure

  • Document administrative processes for infrastructure and identity solutions deployed on Microsoft Azure

  • Stay up to date on managed offerings for simplifying/administering Windows and identity infrastructure hosted on Microsoft Azure

  • Partner, collaborate and lead team efforts for solution design, development and implementation of administrative services supporting Windows and identity platforms

  • Support patch management throughout the environment to ensure timely vulnerability remediation

  • Incorporate Git Operations (GitOps) patterns and tools for infrastructure and identity configuration drift remediation

BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience designing, developing, and implementing secure Active Directory Domain Services (ADDS) solutions

  • 3+ years of experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS or Azure), infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform), and automation tools (e.g. Puppet, Ansible, Chef etc.)

  • 1+ years of experience using PowerShell, Bash, and Python

  • 1+ years of experience administering and working with Microsoft Entra ID and associated identity technologies (Entra ID, Microsoft Graph, Privileged Identity Management (PIM), etc.)

  • 1+ years of experience with GitLab, Azure DevOps and CI/CD (Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)

  • Experience designing architecture with industry standard security technologies and solutions (e.g. encryption (PGP), certificates (x509), MFA/2FA, and SAML/SSO/IDaaS.)

  • Experience developing Identity & Access Management (IAM) software solutions

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Current Cloud Service Provider and/or Information Technology (IT) Security certifications

  • Certified Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA): Windows Server 2016 or later

  • Certified Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE): Cloud Platform and Infrastructure

  • Experience with Linux Server Administration

  • Experience with Amazon Web Services

  • Experience working with export and data regulations

  • Experience with SailPoint Identity Management

  • Experience managing resources using Microsoft Intune

  • Experience using containerizing workloads and using containerized applications in a build/production environment
