BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • B.S. in Software or Electrical Engineering from an accredited university or equivalent experience in a related field. MSEE is a plus.
  • 7+ years of professional hands-on experience in Software Controls Engineering.
  • Up to 20% of travel may be required between locations.
  • Ability to travel for work-related purposes as needed; access to reliable transportation is required due to the nature of our business and multiple client sites.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Background checks are required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience programming industrial automation systems using PLCs, HMIs, and industrial software platforms.
  • Proficiency with several of the following:
    • PLCs: Rockwell (Allen-Bradley), Siemens, Beckhoff, B&R, Codesys
    • HMI/SCADA: Ignition, FactoryTalk View, WinCC, Maple Systems
    • Industrial Robotics: FANUC, ABB, Epson, Denso
    • Motion Control, Vision Systems, and Industrial Networking
  • Familiarity with Python, C/C++, C#, or similar programming languages.
  • Experience with Windows, Linux, and virtual machine environments (VMware, Hyper-V, VirtualBox).
  • Experience commissioning and troubleshooting automated equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Design, program, test, and commission PLC and HMI software for custom automation systems.
  • Integrate automation components including robots, motion systems, vision systems, sensors, and safety devices.
  • Troubleshoot and support machine startup, commissioning, and customer acceptance testing.
  • Develop technical documentation including control specifications and software documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver complete automation solutions.
  • Lead controls engineering efforts on complex projects.
  • Mentor engineers and provide technical direction.
  • Support proposal development, project planning, and customer technical discussions.
