Hut 8 is on a mission to build and operate some of the world's largest data centers for next-generation computing workloads, including AI, Colocation, Cloud, and Bitcoin Mining. We are proud to offer interesting and challenging opportunities for individuals who want to build teams, solve problems, and make an impact from day one. If you're an ambitious individual looking for a career that is as rewarding as it is challenging, you've come to the right place.

ABOUT THE ROLE

At Highrise AI, we operate GPU clusters that power the next generation of AI — and we're looking for a sharp, hands-on Data Center Technician to help keep them running at peak performance.

As a Data Center Technician II, you'll work directly with NVIDIA H100, H200, and B300 GPU clusters alongside cutting-edge high-speed networking infrastructure. Your work directly supports the AI companies building tomorrow's most important technology — your uptime matters. • Monitor cluster health and respond quickly to hardware failures to maximize uptime
  • Execute firmware flashing and BIOS-level configuration on GPU nodes

Networking

  • Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot high-speed InfiniBand and Ethernet fabric (QSFP & OSFP)
  • Apply working knowledge of InfiniBand topology across multi-rack GPU cluster environments
  • Support IP addressing, subnetting, and network diagnostics

Systems & Linux

  • Work in Linux environments for system monitoring, diagnostics, and hardware management
  • Use data analysis to identify failure patterns and drive proactive maintenance
  • Assist with firmware updates, driver management, and hardware configuration

Facility & Operations

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized data center environment
  • Perform general facility duties and contribute to broader infrastructure projects as directed
  • Lead projects at the discretion of your supervisor or operations manager

ABOUT YOU

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications a plus
  • 1–3+ years of experience in IT/computer hardware, AI GPU maintenance, systems/electrical engineering, or network administration
  • Hands-on experience with NVIDIA GPU hardware (H100, H200, or similar) strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with InfiniBand networking and high-speed fabric topology
  • Comfortable working in Linux environments
  • Solid understanding of IP addressing, subnetting, and basic networking concepts
  • Strong problem-solver with a diligent, team-first attitude and the flexibility to adapt in a fast-moving environment
  • Ability to be on your feet 7+ hours per day and lift/carry 30–50 lbs
  • Must pass a motor vehicle background check
