Sr. Project Manager

Neal Electric is currently searching for a Sr. Project Manager to manage small to medium electrical projects for our Service and Commercial Divisions. Qualified individuals will possess 5+ years of project management experience in the commercial electrical industry. We are looking for an individual that emphasizes profitability, teamwork, and client satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  • Project manage small ($100 K) to Large (20 million) commercial electrical projects
  • Responsible for making decisions in such a way that risk is controlled and uncertainty minimized.
  • Responsible for all assigned projects to ensure budget, schedules, materials, sub-contractors and crews are on target and profitable.
  • Monitors overall quantity and quality of work performed on all assigned jobs.
  • Ultimate responsibility for the review and approval of all expenses for each assigned job; ensure they are applied to the proper job and phase code.
  • Provides guidance and direction to the billing department as needed, e.g. provides a schedule of values, answer questions on applied costs or billing requirements per the contract.
  • Overseeing process for changes orders and other circumstances changing the scope of work and payment for such changes.
  • Monitors contract compliance for each job to ensure the company is protected regarding liabilities matters and liens (collection matters).
  • Participates in resolving difficult issues or start-up problems
  • Ensures compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Performs additional assignments at the direction of the Division Manager

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • 5+ years in Construction or equivalent education
  • 120+ Hours of further education in relevant courses
  • Familiar with Word, Excel, outlook
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Preferred

SKILLS, PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Ability to stay focused and work without close supervision.
  • Familiar with Word, Excel, outlook
  • Ability to manage $3-20 Million in work
  • Proficient in Accubid/Bluebeam, Spectrum
  • Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices

• Ability to train younger PM's and coordinate with PE
• Brings in new work and understand how to manage customers' needs
• Works well in a team environment as well as independently.
• Able to adjust priorities on short notice, manage interruptions and work well under pressure.
• Ability to timely meet deadlines
• Ability to anticipate and avoid problems
• Effective communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent planning, time management and leadership skills
• Complies with and maintains company confidentiality practices and policies.
• Interacts professionally with all company employees and outside persons, such as customers and vendors
Working conditions consist of temperature-controlled buildings or offices, outside elements such as rain, cold, and heat when working with in open environments, driving from various locations or attending meetings, etc. Noise levels are moderate to loud depending on work location.
