Job description

Senior Project Manager – Commercial Construction

Jupiter / Palm Beach County, FL

$120,000 – $170,000 + Benefits

An established and growing South Florida General Contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Project Manager to its team in Palm Beach County.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants genuine ownership of their projects, direct access to senior leadership and the opportunity to play an important role within a business that continues to grow across the region.

We are looking for a strong commercial construction professional who can confidently lead projects from preconstruction and buyout through construction, closeout and final handover.

The Role

As Senior Project Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of commercial construction projects across South Florida.

You will work closely with the field team while maintaining strong relationships with clients, architects, subcontractors and other project stakeholders.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Leading commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
  • Managing project budgets, schedules, contracts and financial performance
  • Leading subcontractor procurement, buyout and contract negotiations
  • Managing RFIs, submittals, change orders and project documentation
  • Working closely with Superintendents to maintain schedule, quality and safety
  • Maintaining strong client and subcontractor relationships
  • Identifying and resolving potential project risks
  • Managing and mentoring junior Project Management staff
  • Taking ownership of project profitability and successful delivery

What We're Looking For

We are interested in speaking with experienced Project Managers and Senior Project Managers who have built their careers with reputable commercial General Contractors.

Ideally, you will have:

  • 7+ years of commercial construction experience
  • Experience working as a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager for a General Contractor
  • Ground-up commercial construction experience
  • Strong knowledge of project financials, scheduling, contracts and subcontractor management
  • Experience independently leading projects and client relationships
  • A strong and stable career history
  • South Florida experience is advantageous, although not essential

Experience delivering healthcare, medical, institutional or technically complex commercial projects would be particularly attractive.

Compensation

$120,000 – $170,000 base salary, dependent on experience and project background, alongside a competitive benefits package.

For the right person, this isn't simply another Project Manager position. There is genuine opportunity to take on significant responsibility and develop with a contractor that is continuing to expand its presence in South Florida.
