Position Summary

The Sr. Project Controls Manager is responsible for the general administration of all Manhattan project controls practices and policies within their region. In this role, the Sr. Project Controls Manager is responsible for the management of the operating platform for Manhattan and ensuring all regional projects embrace and incorporate new and existing operational guidelines into everyday performance. This position requires business management acumen and must demonstrate strong leadership, organizational, and time‑management skills, as well as strong communication and customer service skills.

Major Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provides leadership and training to enable project teams to operate in accordance with company standards
  • Assists in training Operations Managers for implementation of Manhattan standards and policies
  • Monitor software standards and training for the company
  • Monitor and take action on Key Performance Indicators in various systems
  • Assists in the development of project execution plans within their region
  • Shows ability to champion at least one PM system company‑wide with regard to creating and updating national training materials and ensuring consistency across regions
  • Ability to lead project controls efforts on mid‑size projects or larger
  • Assist Project Directors with Job Cost Budget / GMP Strategy with regard to systems and financials
  • Leads Project Performance Review process within the region
  • Enforce standards for value management, change management, purchasing, subcontractor prequalification, and award and notifications
  • Proven ability to analyze, identify, and resolve issues with various PM Systems
  • Assist in the review and potential rollout of new software
  • Responsible for conducting themselves in accordance with our Guiding Principles and exhibiting attributes matching the Way We Work.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Accounting, Math or equivalent
  • 15 years of industry experience
Working Conditions and Physical Efforts
  • Ability to physically stand, bend, sit for long periods, and squat throughout the day.
  • Ability to repeat the same movements.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to participate fully in meetings, video conferences, and phone calls.
  • Use hands to type, handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or control.
  • Occasionally lift, pull, or move up to 25 lbs.
  • Occasional travel will be required, primarily in the metropolitan area but sometimes domestically (must have a valid Driver’s License).
