Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract Sr. Project Manager with our client.
Job Description:
  • This position is primarily responsible for managing and completing projects while taking responsibility for scheduling and budgets.
  • This position participates in the marketing and selling of the project, setting the fees, and negotiating contracts for medium and smaller projects.
  • This position utilizes and oversees draftsmen, project engineers, design engineers, junior engineers, and or interns.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Job Qualifications:
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the essential duty satisfactorily:
  • Cultivates and maintains direct client contact.
  • Reviews and understands the scope, budgeted hours, and schedule for each project, and ensures they are met. Signatory approval on projects up to 15K.
  • Identifies areas of concern, works with management to resolve internally or present to the client.
  • Participates in marketing and selling of projects, setting fees, and negotiating contracts.
  • Determines all structural systems (gravity, lateral, etc.)
  • Assist Project Managers with challenges regarding smaller contracts
  • Instruct junior staff to ensure all elements are properly designed.
  • Instruct drafters to ensure all designs are properly drafted.
  • Coordinates and checks the final calculation package for content, completeness, and correctness
  • Performs final coordination and checking of drawings to ensure content, quality, and accuracy complies with our standards.
  • Works with management to ensure conformance with project scope and local codes, to review and respond to comments from the client or reviewing agency, and to resolve field issues, RFI responses, NCR Responses, etc.
  • Assists in training engineers and drafters through field visits and/or in-house training.
  • Ensures proper documentation is obtained and/or prepared for each job.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Supervise Project Engineers, Junior Engineers, Drafters, and Interns.

  • ETABS or similar concrete shear wall analysis program
  • Bentley RAM Elements, or similar program like RISA
  • SAP20 or similar general analysis
  • Microsoft package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Software
  • AUTOCAD/REVIT
  • Bluebeam Revu or another PDF viewer

Job Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in construction/civil engineering.
  • Master's degree in Structural Engineering, from an accredited university or program is a plus.
  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years' experience in handling all aspects of structural projects.
  • P.E. License is required
  • Project management certifications, Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate of Project Management (CAPM) are a plus. LEED certification a plus.
