POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Integration Programmer is a technical resource responsible for the design, development, configuration, and maintenance of enterprise application integrations and data flows across a wide range of enterprise applications-including ERP (PeopleSoft, Workday), procurement (Jaggaer), CRM (Slate, Salesforce), and student success applications. This role focuses on hands-on implementation of integration platforms, data synchronization, and middleware solutions that enable seamless communication between core technology platforms serving all business and academic units at the University of Rhode Island.
Duties and Responsibilities
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Analyze, configure, develop, test, implement, and maintain enterprise applications and integration solutions, including but not limited to PeopleSoft, Workday, Jaggaer, Slate, Salesforce, and student success platforms.
Develop technical specifications and system procedures to support university-wide administrative, academic, and student success processes.
Implement new modules, features, integrations, and enhancements as required by university business and academic units.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex system issues in collaboration with IT staff and functional users.
Maintain and update application documentation, technical procedures, and project plans according to departmental standards.
Review technical deliverables and code to ensure quality, security, and compliance with university and industry standards.
Coordinate and schedule technical work, manage assigned projects, and ensure timely delivery of solutions.
Assist in evaluating and deploying vendor updates, patches, and application upgrades.
Provide technical support and guidance to application users and internal IT staff.
Remain current with evolving technologies and best practices relevant to enterprise, ERP, procurement, CRM, and student success applications.
Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain enterprise application integrations using Informatica IICS and other iPaaS platforms.
Develop and maintain data mapping specifications, integration workflows, and ETL processes.
Configure and manage integration middleware platforms including Informatica IICS, Apache Airflow, and related tools.
Manage integration deployment pipelines and version control across development, test, and production environments.
Monitor integration performance, troubleshoot data flow issues, and optimize integration solutions.
Collaborate with business analysts and application teams to gather integration requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
The position may require after-hours or on-call work to support system maintenance and issue resolution.
Perform additional duties as needed.
Licenses, Tools, and Equipment:
Proficiency with Informatica IICS, Apache Airflow, version control systems (Git/GitHub), API development and testing tools, Linux/Unix command-line interfaces, and database query and optimization tools.

2. Minimum of 1-2 years of hands-on experience with Informatica IICS or similar enterprise integration platforms in production environments.
3. Demonstrated hands-on experience with Informatica IICS (Intelligent Cloud Services) including cloud data integration, mappings, and task scheduling.
4. Demonstrated experience with ETL/ELT tools and data integration platforms.
5. Demonstrated experience with Linux and Windows Server operating systems.
6. Demonstrated experience with relational databases and SQL optimization for integration scenarios.
7. Demonstrated experience with integration-focused programming languages/tools such as SQL, Python, Java, and scripting languages.
8. Demonstrated ability to independently manage application configurations, technical projects, and troubleshooting.
9. Demonstrated ability to develop technical documentation and procedures.
10. Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
11. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities.
12. Demonstrated strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
13. Demonstrated proficiency in written communication skills.
