Job description

Remora is seeking a Senior Performance Analyst to build the analytical foundation for our next-generation carbon capture fleet. This is a hands‑on technical role responsible for designing the performance monitoring, reporting, and analytics framework that will support multiple identical modular carbon capture systems paired with commercial natural gas generators. Working closely with controls, design, and systems engineers, you will transform operational and process data into scalable, automated analytics that enable commissioning, fleet monitoring, investor reporting, and predictive maintenance.

We're building modular carbon capture systems for vehicles — turning exhaust into beverage‑grade CO₂ sold to breweries and greenhouses. We deploy in regions facing severe CO₂ shortages, where prices are highest, allowing us to generate high margins without tax credits or carbon credits.

Responsibilities
  • Design and build the performance monitoring and reporting framework for Remora's carbon capture fleet, establishing system baselines and KPIs from R&D and commissioning data.
  • Develop automated dashboards and reports including real‑time operational views and periodic operational and investor‑facing reports covering system availability, CO₂ production, and energy efficiency.
  • Define KPI calculations, acceptable operating ranges, data sources, and reporting standards.
  • Partner with controls engineers to integrate analytics with Ignition SCADA and SQL historian infrastructure.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers to translate process knowledge into scalable analytics and develop fleet benchmarking capabilities.
  • Build anomaly detection and leading‑indicator monitoring to identify emerging performance issues, evolving these models toward predictive maintenance capabilities as fleet data grows.
  • Support commissioning by developing tools that enable rapid validation and troubleshooting of new systems.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in industrial analytics, performance engineering, data science, or similar technical roles.
  • Strong SQL experience working with large industrial or time‑series datasets.
  • Proficiency in Python, R, or another scripting language for data analysis and statistical modeling.
  • Experience developing automated dashboards, reporting systems, and data visualization tools.
  • Strong understanding of statistical analysis, time‑series data, anomaly detection, and process monitoring.
  • Ability to work cross‑functionally with engineering teams and translate complex technical concepts into scalable analytical solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Logistics
  • Location: Wixom, MI
Compensation and Benefits
  • Salary: $118,000 - $145,000
  • Competitive Stock Options
  • Healthcare (BCBS)
  • Dental
  • Vision
  • Retirement (401k)
  • Student loan assistance
  • Three Weeks of paid time off
  • Eleven Holidays off
  • Dependent care assistance (childcare or eldercare)
  • Parental leave
  • Unlimited sick and compassionate leave
  • Employee development and coaching
