Job Summary:
NEOGOV is seeking a Senior Application Developer for the DuPage County Information Technology Department. The role involves participating in project teams, enhancing existing systems, implementing new applications, and collaborating with various teams to meet business needs.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Participates in a project team, support and enhance existing systems and implements new applications.
โ€ข Collaborates with application teams, technical teams and vendors on technical solutions and alternatives to solve business needs.
โ€ข Analyzes business environment, processes, systems, and organizational structure.
โ€ข Receives and understands deliverables and requirements.
โ€ข Writes required programming code necessary for new or existing systems.
โ€ข Ensures system test and stability before delivery.
โ€ข Documents system and operational and maintenance procedures.
โ€ข Works with end users to gather business requirements, document and gain approval for the scope of a project, develop project plans and participate in implementation.
โ€ข Provides input on the specifications and evaluation of new off-the-shelf applications.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology-related field
โ€ข Seven (7) years of programming experience
Preferred:
โ€ข Microsoft Client/Server environment knowledge.
โ€ข Knowledge of computer systems which include โ€“ Network Enabled Technology (.NET) and Microsoft suite of products including Structured Query Language (SQL) server, Visual Studio, Visual Basic/ C Sharp (VB/C#)
โ€ข Understanding of AI concepts, familiarity with AI/ML tools in Microsoft environments, and the ability to collaborate with teams to leverage AI for innovative solutions.
โ€ข Knowledge of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and monitoring, to accelerate software delivery and enhance application reliability.
โ€ข Experience with Oracle Database and PL/SQL Developer for writing and optimizing database queries and procedures.
