Job description

SAIC is seeking a Program/Financial Analyst to provide on-site project and financial management support at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Newport, RI.  

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Perform various financial management functions as it relates to both Programmatic execution as well as Department level execution
  • Manage all aspects of Programmatic financial SAIC is seeking a Senior Program/Financial Analyst to provide on-site project and financial management support at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Newport, RI
  • Perform various financial management functions as it relates to Department level execution
  • Manage all aspects of Programmatic financial management including, but not limited to: funding document acceptance, cost tracking and monitoring, financial forecasting, budget planning and ad-hoc Department Level financial requirements utilizing various computer systems
  • Other duties may include developing miscellaneous reports, preparing assorted presentations, and assisting with the management and tracking of other project data, as required

Requirements:

  • Bachelors and eighteen (18) years or more of related experience; Masters and sixteen (16) years or more experience
  • 10+ years of relevant NUWC Financial experience
  • Deep Understanding of Navy ERP
  • MS Office proficiency with strong MS Excel knowledge
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks across multiple projects
  • Quick learner and proactive
  • Additional skills: Must be able to operate independently, but also in a team environment and share information with others.  Must show initiative and have the ability to work on multiple tasks with changing deadlines and priorities in an environment with frequent interruptions. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as strong interpersonal skills, professional demeanor, and flexibility are required; the ability to establish a solid working relationship with customers, technical staff, managers, and peers, and various Government and contractor personnel.  Computer Skills are to include proficiency in MS Office Suite with advance skills in Excel.  Must be highly motivated, and have excellent problem solving skills
