Job description

You will serve as a SAFETY & OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH SPECIALIST for the Environmental, Safety and Health (ES/H) Office of the Supervisor of Shipbuilding Conversion and Repair, Bath, Maine (SSBA) of SUPERVISOR OF SHIPBUILDING BATH. You will be responsible to the Occupational Safety and Health (OS/H) manager for implementation of health and safety programs for SSBA.
Certain incentives (such as Recruitment, Relocation or Student Loan Repayment) may be authorized to eligible selectees.Qualifications:For GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: conducting inspections of ship or industrial workplaces, processes, or products to identify and recommend solutions of potential hazards for compliance in maritime construction and repair facilities.

For GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: assisting senior specialist with conducting inspections of ship or industrial workplaces, processes, or products to identify and recommend solutions of potential hazards for compliance in maritime construction and repair facilities.

Successful completion of a Ph. D or equivalent doctoral degree
OR
Successful completion of three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph. D degree
OR
