1st Shift Production 

Floater: Scaler Transporter Supplier (STS) 

Classification : 3-12 see Physical Abilities Evaluation Form 

HOURS:  5:00a.m. - 1:30p.m. (Hours will vary) 

WAGE:    $21.75 per hour 

JOB SUMMARY: Supply all necessary product, supplies and equipment to production line, as necessary, to permit line to manufacture product. 

JOB DUTIES: 

  • Supply necessary product and equipment to line as required.  Includes boxes, vats, bags, etc. 

  • Complete any required paperwork or computer record keeping, including products used, by-products and waste. 

  • Label all products leaving area. 

  • Operate powered pallet jack to move pallets and racks. 

  • Complete daily equipment checklist, prior to operating pallet jack. 

  • Know freezer or cooler locations to be able to find needed product for line.  

  • Set up and operate scale and tape machine. 

  • Arrange packing room for the product being run. 

  • Perform frozen temperature and metal detector checks. 

  • Advise packers of product type and how product is to be packed. 

  • Weigh all boxes to meet minimum weight and counts. 

  • Check scale for proper tare. 

  • Ensure proper label, stamp and date code are on boxes. 

  • Supply necessary materials, such as boxes, labels, bags, etc. to the Packing Room, to support daily production operations. 

  • Handle part boxes of product to ensure they are put in proper location in freezer.  Also, pull product from freezer to be worked into the line operation. 

  • Stack skids. Assist in making boxes and operate the skid wrapper. 

  • Complete all required paperwork.  Enter pallet tickets and other information into computer as required. 

  • Job requires frequent bending, lifting and twisting through out the work shift.  Will be required to lift and stack product at and above shoulder level. 

  • Keep work area clean. 

WORKING CONDITIONS: High noise exposure, temperature variations from warm to cool to extremely cold and slippery floors are present.  Wear appropriate PPE and other equipment, as necessary or required. 

QUALIFICATIONS:  Employee must possess good communication skills, be team oriented and get along well with others.  Must be able to stand, walk and climb stairs up to 8 hours per day.  Will be required to bend, lift and twist frequently throughout the work shift. Must meet physical abilities evaluation requirements for this position.  Must successfully complete Lock Out/ Tag Out, pallet jack and other required safety training.
