Job Overview

Collins Aerospace is seeking a DevSecOps Development Lead to provide technical leadership for software delivery platforms, cloud infrastructure, and DevSecOps practices. This hybrid position in Puerto Rico.

Responsibilities
  • Platform Support
    • Support enterprise software delivery platforms including GitLab and Artifactory.
    • Assist with platform configuration, upgrades, integrations, and operational support.
    • Monitor system health, performance, and platform reliability.
    • Troubleshoot complex deployment, integration, and automation issues.
    • Collaborate with enterprise teams to align platform capabilities with organizational standards and roadmaps.
  • DevSecOps & CI/CD Enablement
    • Design, implement, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines.
    • Promote DevSecOps best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
    • Support Git-based workflows and source code management practices.
    • Assist development teams with onboarding applications to enterprise DevSecOps platforms.
    • Support GitLab runners and build environments.
  • Infrastructure Automation & Cloud
    • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions.
    • Work with teams that support cloud infrastructure and cloud-native services.
    • Build and support containerized applications.
    • Collaborate with infrastructure and cybersecurity teams to ensure secure and scalable deployments.
    • Participate in architecture reviews and recommend improvements for reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Leadership & Mentorship
    • Serve as the primary technical advisor for GitLab CI/CD.
    • Mentor system administrators, developers, and technical teams on pipeline development and DevSecOps methodologies.
    • Lead technical discussions and provide guidance on solution design and implementation.
    • Promote adoption of enterprise standards and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Agile & Continuous Improvement
    • Participate in Agile ceremonies, planning activities, backlog refinement, and technical reviews.
    • Collaborate with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and development teams to prioritize platform and automation initiatives.
Required Qualifications
  • University degree (or advanced degree) in a related field and minimum 10 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree and minimum 7 years of experience.
  • U.S. Citizen.
  • Experience with Git and Git-based development workflows.
  • Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problemโ€‘solving skills.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle and DevOps principles.
  • Ability to work effectively across multiple technical teams.
  • Understanding of secure software delivery practices and familiarity with identity and access management concepts.
  • Knowledge of enterprise cybersecurity requirements and support for environments subject to aerospace and regulatory compliance, including ITAR.
  • Security Clearance not required.

  • GitLab administration and runner management.
