Job description

Role Summary

This role leads a team responsible for the strategic vision and roadmap for Personal Investor Crew Desktop with cross-divisional impact, demonstrating a deep understanding of the digital product(s) and associated business areas. These platforms and products often have enterprise-wide implications. This role also incorporates market research and consumer trends to influence innovation, product direction, and cross-functional execution across the entire product life cycle.


Responsibilities

  • Hires, evaluates, and supervises crew. Provides guidance and training as necessary to develop crew. Sets performance standards, reviews performance, and makes informed compensation decisions in accordance with all applicable Human Resources policies and procedures.

  • Oversees digital product management activities for multiple digital products, or one strategic product, with cross-divisional impact.

  • Influences and collaborates with cross-functional teams to create best practices that drive significant change to the client experience.

  • Provides guidance and coaches digital product teams towards best practices and learnings. Oversees digital product teams' support of the messaging, communication, and customer outreach as necessary.

  • Facilitates strong business support through working with team members to promote a consistent approach to decisions/impacts and client propositions. Drives connection across all appropriate internal and external stakeholders.

  • Leads the planning, development and implementation of new products with cross-divisional impact. Defines and analyzes markets, developing detailed product features and requirements, and developing implementation plans.

  • Influences and employs a variety of qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques to continually improve the user experience.

  • Participates in and influences ongoing business planning and departmental prioritization activities.

  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

  • Manages the entire product life cycle from strategy and planning through execution, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and customer needs.

  • Conducts market research and analyzes consumer trends to identify opportunities for product innovation and enhancement.

  • Defines key product features and functionality, and oversees execution by collaborating with cross-functional teams.

  • Prepares product documentation and provides technical support to internal teams including sales and marketing.

  • Leverages market and user feedback to evaluate existing product functionality and guide future roadmap decisions.


Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in product management, with at least 3 years in innovation strategy and execution. Supervisory experience preferred.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Graduate degree preferred.

  • Good to have skills in product lifecycle management, stakeholder engagement, market research, innovation strategy, and customer experience improvement. Strong understanding of digital product ecosystems and ability to work with engineering, marketing, and operations teams.

  • Experience with custom and desktop application product management is strongly preferred.

  • Excellent communication, analytical thinking, problem-solving, team leadership, and time management skills.

  • Preferred certifications include Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager, or Product Management certifications from Pragmatic Institute or AIPMM.
