Job Description:
Job Summary
The Director of Football Creative Strategy and Production will oversee all creative video and graphic design operations for the Purdue Football program; serving as the leader of the football content team. This position will utilize a proactive and innovative mindset to produce compelling and engaging video content across multiple platforms for a diverse audience, including recruits, fans, potential donors, and student-athletes. will help align football operations objectives to enhance the program's national image, attract recruits, grow revenue and donor support, and position Purdue Football as a premier Division I program competing at the highest level of the Big Ten Conference.
What You'll Be Doing:
Creative Video Production: Lead, execute, and manage all aspects of creative video production for Purdue Football, including cinematography, editing, and distribution across multiple platforms for recruits, fans, donors, and players.
Content Strategy & Calendar Development: Lead, execute, and manage creative services to develop a year-round strategy and calendar for the Football Program, providing administrative oversight and guidance to project queueing and allocation of resources, while helping maintain and elevate the Purdue Boilermakers Football brand in all facets, including visual campaigns, graphic designs, video productions, web-based, social media and printed publications. Will represent creative services area for Football to internal areas and external constituents, helping maintain brand integrity and institutional messaging. All projects should be delivered at a high quality and meet identified goals and expectations.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration and Brand Management: Partner with staff members from communications, development (John Purdue Club), event management, facilities, marketing & fan experience, revenue generation, ticketing, football operations, recruiting and compliance to delivery content and concepts that advance program goals, and ensure brand standards are consistently maintained and enhanced. Production management of the Football facilities branding and graphic requests, including needs for yearly installation updates, such as locker room nameplates, exterior banners, etc. Must work with vendors on pricing, production and installation.
Budget, Vendor & Team Management: Lead the football content team; manage departmental budgets, vendor relationships, procurement processes, and performance reporting.
Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach, Football General Manager, or Senior Associate AD for Marketing (or their designees), including travel with the football program and extended hours during peak periods, nights, weekends, and game days.

What We're Looking For:
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Video Production, Sports Media, Multimedia or related field of study required.
  • Four (4) years of videography and editing experience within the sports, entertainment, or advertising industry.
  • Experience with photography and motion graphics preferred.
  • Experience with administratively managing a staff preferred.

Skills needed:
  • Must be able to work independently and with a creative team on projects from concept to completion while exhibiting strong leadership skills and the ability to accept constructive criticism.
  • Possess a firm understanding of videography and video editing concepts and possess the ability to create engaging and informative video content.
  • Advanced Professional competency with Adobe Creative Suite with an emphasis on Premier Pro.
  • Experience with After Effects is preferred as well as strong knowledge of current video trends and understanding new video trends.
  • Ability to manage several projects concurrently and be able to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • Experience in fast-paced work environments is essential.
  • Must be an effective communicator and be able to clearly and concisely explain project ideas and details.
  • Must be able to lead a team comprised of full-time staff and students as well as interact effectively with administration, coaches, student-athletes, support staff, and vendors.
  • Understand the importance of brand standards and operate within identity guidelines.
  • Must possess an expansive knowledge of sports and adhere to the applicable rules and standards of the Big Ten Conference, the NCAA, and the Big Ten Network.
  • Ability to work extended hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Proactive, creative thinker able to troubleshoot issues and solve problems.
  • This position will have a dotted line report to the Football General Manager
  • LIMITED PHYSICAL ACTIVITY: Lift and carry up to 10 lbs. frequently, and up to 20 lbs.
