Title: Senior Supply Chain Analyst

Key Responsibilities

Gross Margin Improvement (GMI) Leadership

  • Support and coordinate cross-functional GMI initiatives.
  • Build business cases and savings opportunities that improve gross margin.
  • Identify cost reduction opportunities across:
  • Raw materials
  • Purchased products
  • Contracted services
  • Freight and logistics
  • Inventory carrying costs
  • SKU portfolio complexity
  • Develop and maintain GMI dashboards and savings tracking reports.
  • Present recommendations and project updates to senior leadership.

Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management

  • Lead supplier negotiations for pricing, contracts, rebates, and service agreements.
  • Analyze vendor spend and identify opportunities for strategic sourcing initiatives.
  • Conduct supplier RFQs, RFPs, and bid evaluations.
  • Develop supplier scorecards and performance metrics.
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure continuity of supply and risk mitigation.
  • Identify alternative suppliers and dual-source opportunities.

  • Partner with Sales and Operations to improve forecast accuracy.
  • Identify demand variability, forecast bias, and inventory risks.
  • Support S&OP and business planning processes.
  • Recommend inventory strategies that balance service levels and working capital.

Inventory & SKU Optimization

  • Conduct SKU profitability and complexity analysis.
  • Identify opportunities for SKU rationalization and standardization.
  • Analyze inventory carrying costs and excess inventory risks.
  • Support initiatives to reduce obsolete and slow-moving inventory.
  • Develop recommendations to improve inventory turns and working capital performance.

Logistics & Transportation Analysis

  • Analyze freight spend and transportation patterns.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce shipping costs.
  • Evaluate carrier performance and service levels.
  • Support initiatives related to:
  • Freight optimization

  • Shipment consolidation
  • Mode conversion strategies
