Job description

Full-Time | In-Office, Hybrid, or Remote Opportunities Available

About Elliman Capital:

Elliman Capital is the integrated lending arm of Douglas Elliman, one of the nation's largest and most recognized luxury real estate brokerages. Combining modern mortgage technology, operational excellence, and exceptional service, we support residential transactions across some of the country's most active and desirable real estate markets.

As we continue our rapid national expansion, we are seeking an experienced Senior Mortgage Processor to join our growing operations team. This role is ideal for mortgage professionals who thrive in a purchase-focused environment, take pride in delivering accurate and compliant loan files, and are looking for long-term career growth within a company that is actively investing in its people, technology, and infrastructure.

You'll work alongside experienced loan officers, underwriters, and operations professionals while supporting sophisticated residential transactions and high-profile clientele nationwide.

We recognize that great talent comes in many forms and locations. Depending on experience, geography, and business needs, this position may be structured as in-office, hybrid, or fully remote. Compensation packages are tailored accordingly and include both base salary and performance-based incentive opportunities.

Why Processors Choose Elliman Capital:
  • Performance-based bonus compensation with no minimum production thresholds
  • Purchase-focused business with consistent transaction flow
  • Exposure to complex and high-value residential transactions
  • Opportunity to support sophisticated clientele across premier real estate markets
  • Modern technology stack including Encompass, nCino, and an integrated digital mortgage experience
  • Streamlined borrower portal featuring one-click document uploads, e-signatures, digital letters of explanation, and condition fulfillment tools
  • A growing company that promotes from within and rewards performance

What Makes This Role Different:Build a Career, Not Just a Pipeline

Elliman Capital is experiencing significant national growth, creating opportunities for ambitious professionals who want more than a traditional processing role. As we continue expanding into new markets and building our operational infrastructure, high-performing team members will have the opportunity to take on additional responsibility, contribute to process development, and grow alongside the organization.

We believe in recognizing talent, rewarding performance, and promoting from within whenever possible.

Technology Designed to Make Processing Easier

We believe processors should spend their time moving loans forward, not chasing paperwork.

Our technology platform provides borrowers with a modern digital experience that simplifies document collection, communication, and loan progression. Through our integrated borrower portal, clients can securely upload documents, complete e-signatures, satisfy conditions, and submit letters of explanation directly from their device.

For processors, this means:

  • Reduced back-and-forth for document collection
  • Faster borrower response times
  • Improved visibility into outstanding conditions and tasks
  • Streamlined communication throughout the loan process
  • A more organized and efficient workflow from application through closing

Our goal is simple: eliminate unnecessary friction so processors can focus on execution, service, and getting loans to the closing table.

A Collaborative Team Environment

At Elliman Capital, we believe great operations teams are built through collaboration, communication, and a willingness to help one another succeed. While every team member has primary responsibilities, we maintain an all-hands-on-deck mentality where departments work together to solve problems, support borrowers, and get loans to the closing table.

This means you'll have:

  • Direct access to leadership and decision-makers
  • Close collaboration with underwriting, sales, and operations teams
  • The ability to make a meaningful impact beyond a single function
  • A team-oriented environment where people genuinely support one another
  • The opportunity to contribute ideas and help shape processes as we continue to grow
Flexible Work Arrangements

Elliman Capital offers flexible work arrangements for qualified candidates, including in-office, hybrid, and remote opportunities. Regardless of location, we maintain high standards for communication, responsiveness, teamwork, and execution.

You will work within:

  • A professional environment built on accountability and trust
  • Defined productivity, pipeline management, and communication expectations
  • Direct access to leadership and operational support
  • A culture that prioritizes teamwork, professionalism, and results
  • Flexibility designed to support both individual success and team collaboration

Responsibilities:
  • Manage residential mortgage loan files from application through clear-to-close with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and execution
  • Collect, review, and organize borrower documentation in accordance with underwriting guidelines and investor requirements
  • Prepare complete and well-documented files for underwriting submission
  • Review disclosures for accuracy and compliance prior to delivery
  • Order, track, and manage third-party services including appraisals, title work, verifications, and supporting documentation
  • Clear underwriting conditions by obtaining required documentation and ensuring file completeness
  • Communicate loan status, outstanding items, and closing timelines with loan officers, underwriters, borrowers, and internal stakeholders
  • Maintain organized pipelines and ensure service level expectations are consistently met
  • Ensure all files meet investor documentation standards, internal quality expectations, and closing readiness requirements
  • Assist with operational initiatives and special projects as needed in a collaborative team environment
  • Escalate structural, documentation, or guideline questions when appropriate

Requirements:
  • 3+ of recent residential mortgage processing experience
  • Demonstrated experience processing purchase transactions from application through closing
  • Experience with Conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA loan products
  • Prior Non-QM processing experience strongly preferred
  • Encompass experience required
  • Strong understanding of mortgage documentation standards and processing workflows
  • Working knowledge of mortgage compliance requirements, including TILA and RESPA
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders
  • Professional demeanor aligned with a high-touch client experience
  • Ability to perform successfully in an in-office, hybrid, or remote environment with clear accountability and performance expectations
