We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Engineer III to support our USAF contract on Robbins AFB, GA. This project is in support of the 402d Software Engineering Group (SWEG) at Robins Air Force Base, GA.The Senior Engineer III supports the 402d SWEGโ€™s mission by working closely with engineers, developers, administrators and other technical teams supporting a variety of weapon system platforms and airframes such as the F-15 and F-35 fighters, the B-1B bomber, the C-5 and C-130 cargo planes, the MQ-9 Reaper and the HH-60 Pave Hawk helicopter. All work will be performed on base.ย 

Responsibilitiesย 

  • Participates in product sustainment, product development, lab support, and engineering services in support of the Operational Flight Program (OFP), Test Program Set (TPS), Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance, and Mission Support (MS) business lines within the customerโ€™s organizationย 
  • Assist in evaluating current systems, planning of large-scale system projects, purchasing, installing and support of network communications, including LAN/WAN systems.ย 
  • Provides technical support to outside customers, such as System Program Officesย 
  • Provides acquisition support, independent verification and validation, and independent testingof externally acquired productsย 
  • Provides consulting, research, analysis, reverse-engineering studies and other supporttasksย 
  • Develop technical specifications and design documentsย 
  • Work with stakeholders and manage project teams (internally) and/or externallyย 

Requirementsย 

  • Possess Secret security clearanceย ย 
  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science,or Software Engineering from an ABET accredited schoolย 
  • Minimum 15 yearsโ€™ experience with at least one of the following:ย ย 
    • Electronic Warfareย 
    • Radarย 
    • Sensors and Fusionย 
    • Communicationsย 
    • Navigationย 
    • Identificationย 
    • Tactical Data Links and Networksย 
    • Information Assuranceย 
    • Avionics OFPsย 
    • Support Equipmentย 
    • Simulationsย 
    • Systems Integrationย 
  • Strong English language skills (both written and verbal)ย 
  • Interest in new technologies and the ability to adapt to those new technologiesย 
  • Ability to lead a team and carry development workloadย

Scheduleย 

  • Facilities are open 6am-6pm - you can work with your customer leadership to set hoursย 
  • You can flex time during the 2 week pay cycle - avoid using PTO for appointmentsย 
  • A compressed work schedule may be available at the discretion of work center leadership (i.e.4/10 or 9/80)ย
