Our service-oriented firm provides bookkeeping, audit, tax and consulting services to a broad range of clients.Senior Accounting AssociateWe are seeking a "hands-on", Senior Accounting Associate to join our rapidly growing Outsourced Accounting Solutions (OAS) team. We are looking for an individual with general business knowledge and advanced bookkeeping skills to support our clients. The position requires work within the Wojeski office and at various client locations around the Capital District of New York State.Key Responsibilities:Supports OAS operations by monitoring and approving financial processing, reporting, and supervising staff Perform monthly account reconciliations and prepare trial balances for month-end/quarter-end review Demonstrate knowledge of the general ledger and make journal entries Record daily transactions and properly post to the general ledger Invoice and properly record payments and accounts receivable Manage accounts payable and weekly check disbursements Coach clients with tasks and issues that arise in the accounting function of their businesses Create and track classes in QuickBooks Qualifications:High-school diploma or equivalent is requiredAssociates or bachelor's degree in business or accounting is preferred2 to 3 years relevant supervisory experience 3 to 5 years relevant bookkeeping experience Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online, and Office 365 products (especially Excel) Excellent organizational skills Advanced understanding of the balance sheet and profit and loss statement Ability to manage multiple projects and staff members for different types of clients, in a fast-paced environment Ability to learn quickly and work both independently and as a team member to complete tasks Meticulous attention to detail and follow-through Excellent communication and customer service skills; ability to interact with clients Knowledge of business organizational structuresKnowledge of payroll processing and payroll taxesPositive attitude focused on enhancing the firm's culture and an open-mindedness to change.Benefits and Perks Include:Company OutingsIn-Office EventsCompetitive compensation and PTO401(k) program with employer matchDiscounted Financial Planning/CounselingFlexible SchedulesReduced Summer HoursHybrid Work From Home PolicyHealth and Wellness BenefitsMentorship and Learning Development
