Who you are:

As aSoftware Engineer III - Power Platform at Frost, you are our code guru, not only writing code but understanding the "why" behind it. Our software engineers believe in collaboration, ingenuity, and truly want to drive design and change in the IT realm. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, writing, testing, implementing, supporting, and documenting solutions for leveraging Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, Power Pages, and Copilot Studio while incorporating modern engineering practices, including CI/CD automation and AI-assisted development. You welcome a challenge and want to provide next level experiences to every individual that uses our systems.

What You'll Do:

  • Design, write, test, implement, support, and document enterprise solutions using Microsoft Power Platform technologies.
  • Collaborate with and provide technical advice to Product Owners, Business Analysts, and lines of business to estimate level-of-effort, timing, and feasibility, to design new systems based on business requirements, and to optimize system and program functionality
  • Review coding for a group of software engineers to ensure alignment with business needs, change control procedures, and Frost development standards
  • Always take action using Integrity, Caring, and Excellence to achieve all-win outcomes
  • Develop reusable components, frameworks, custom connectors, and automation patterns to improve speed and consistency of delivery.
  • Support production environments, troubleshoot complex issues, and drive root-cause analysis.
  • Stay current with Microsoft Power Platform roadmap and emerging technologies.
  • Establish and enforce Power Platform governance, including environment strategy, security roles, DLP policies, and development standards.
  • Partner with Security, Risk, and Compliance teams to ensure all solutions meet enterprise and regulatory requirements.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, in a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated ability to independently identify issues across interrelated programs and systems and develop the appropriate solutions, typically requiring a minimum of 4 years of experience
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform development.
  • Demonstrated experience with Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven), Power Automate (Cloud and Desktop Flows), Dataverse, Power Pages, Copilot Studio, Power Platform Administration and Governance
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently identify and resolve complex system issues.
  • Strong expertise in Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven), Power Automate, and Dataverse.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, integration patterns, APIs, and secure development practices.

Additional Preferred Skills:

  • Experience collaborating within Agile teams alongside Tech Leads and developers.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
  • Demonstrated ability to use AI-assisted tools to enhance productivity in requirements analysis, solution design, and development workflows.
  • Experience with C#, .NET, JavaScript / TypeScript, SQL Server, REST APIs and custom connectors, Azure Functions and Azure services
  • Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub.
  • Microsoft certifications, including PL-400 Power Platform Developer, PL-600 Power Platform Solution Architect, PL-200 Functional Consultant
  • Experience in financial services or other regulated industries.
  • Experience establishing governance frameworks and managing enterprise Power Platform environments.
