Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to design, build, and test an automated Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) OS provisioning solution for internal cloud compute environments. This role focuses on enabling reliable, scalable on-premises platforms through automation, integration, and continuous testing. The engineer will work with cloud computing platforms, Microsoft Windows Server, and Linux systems to deliver automated workflows and ensure system reliability.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and test automated RHEL OS provisioning solutions for internal cloud environments.
  • Deliver automated workflows and validate platform integrations for reliability.
  • Work with cloud computing platforms, Windows Server, and Linux systems.
  • Develop and maintain automation tools and workflows using shell scripting and Python.
  • Utilize automation platforms like Ansible for scalable, idempotent designs.
  • Integrate OS provisioning with internal services such as virtualization, networking, and monitoring systems.
  • Implement continuous testing, including automated validation and integration testing.
  • Collaborate with platform, operations, SRE, and security teams to deliver scalable automation solutions.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 5+ years in platform, systems, or infrastructure engineering with a strong emphasis on automation and integration. Hands-on experience designing and delivering automated RHEL OS provisioning for on-premises or internal cloud compute environments is required.
Technical Skills:
  • Strong Linux (RHEL) administration expertise, including installation, configuration, patching, networking, and security.
  • Proficiency in shell scripting and Python.
  • Experience with automation and configuration management platforms such as Ansible or an equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of Windows Server for cross-platform integrations.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing, automation testing, and Windows/Linux utility compute.
