Job description

Pega Lead System Architect/ Senior System Architect
Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
o Define the end-to-end application architecture following Pegas best practices and guardrails.
o Design and develop responsive user interfaces using the Constellation framework, specifically utilizing Portals, Views, and out-of-the-box (OOTB) DX components.
o Experience in background processing rules like Agents, Listeners, Job Schedulers and Queue Processors
o Define foundational architectural decisions across application layers, rulesets/ruleset versions, reuse patterns, and guardrails that balance enterprise consistency with business unit autonomy.
o Stand up and maintain enterprise golden paths including templates, common components, and reusable assets.
o Implement and maintain SSO integrations and enterprise identity alignment.
o Design and implement RBAC standards (roles, access groups, privileges) across personas (developers, architects, tech leads, operations, business stakeholders, auditors).
o Build and evolve CI/CD pipelines with automated gates for promotion across environments.
o Define versioning/release strategy and enforce repeatable promotion patterns
o Ensure security auditing and platform controls meet enterprise policies.
o Define the platform integration approach and reference architectures for common enterprise integrations including:
o AWS services such as S3, KMS o Configuring Internal APIs / eventing patterns o Establish governance mechanisms (design reviews, reuse intake, exceptions process)
Roles & Responsibilities
o Pega platform architecture: application layering, reuse design, ruleset strategy, governance models, and enterprise guardrails.
o Enterprise authentication/authorization: SSO, identity integration, and robust RBAC design for regulated environments.
o Integration architecture: API design patterns, security, resiliency, and integration lifecycle management across enterprise systems. Experience collaborating in cross-functional teams using Agile methodologies.
o DevOps for Pega: pipeline-driven promotions, automated testing strategy, Lead a team of Pega developers/engineers across the delivery lifecycle: discovery, estimation, design, implementation, testing, release, and operations.
o Partner with product owners to scope and sequence work to deliver outcomes with speed and quality.
o Mentor engineers and influence engineering culture toward standardization, reliability, and automation-first execution.
o quality/compliance gates, release controls, and repeatable deployment patterns.
o Production readiness: performance/scalability, resiliency patterns, logging/monitoring, operational runbooks, and incident management.
o Strong communication skills and ability to lead and mentor engineers.
Salary Range- $110,000-$125,000 a year
