Job description

Within Anaplan's Workforce Applications team, the Sr.ย Application Developer designs and delivers out-of-the-box and extensible solutions on the Anaplan platform that support planning, forecasting, and reporting use cases across industries. These include Strategic Workforce Planning, Compensation Modeling, Operational Workforce Planning, Organizational Design, and other workforce-focused applications.ย 

In this role, you will partner with Product Management to define business requirements and platform capabilities, translate those requirements into scalable solution architectures, and work alongside model builders to bring those solutions to life. You will also collaborate with technical Product Managers toย identifyย platform dependencies and enhancements needed to deliver world-class products. Additionally, you will work closely with GTM and Professional Services teams to maximize adoption and ensure customers fullyย leverageย the capabilities of these solutions.ย 

This roleย requiresย excellent collaboration skills,ย a deepย understanding ofย workforce planningย use cases,ย HR source systems,ย theย Anaplanย platform,ย modelย buildingย expertise, and anย innovative mindset combined withย strong attention to detailย and deadlines.ย ย 

Your Impactย 

  • Build and deliver Workforce Applications by leveraging the suite of Anaplan platform components (including model and UX building, user management, data integration, reporting, PlanIQ, etc.) by:ย 
    • Converting business requirements into innovative and scalable solutions, partnering with Product Management.ย ย Translating business requirements to technical terminology to ensure the product is built to follow best practices.ย ย 
    • Working with complex requirements to designย and buildย theย applicationย and UX to meetย agreed upon standards.ย 
    • Ensuring the user experience developed meets UX standards, is intuitive, and easy to use.ย 
    • Participating inย quality assurance,ย updatingย and refining as needed, through successful delivery.ย ย Guide performance testing and tuning to ensure the application can scale.ย ย 
    • Upgradingย applications withย newย Anaplan platform capabilities andย features, as driven by prospects,ย customersย and partner feedback.ย 
    • Incorporating the latest innovations delivered on the Anaplan platform resulting in delightful user experiences.ย 
  • Partner with Center of Excellence Advisors, Product Management, Professional Services and GTM Enablement Teams to ensure the Workforce COE delivers:ย 
    • Compelling conceptual demos and all supporting content including trainingย andย guides.ย 
    • Fullย configuration andย implementation ofย content,ย documentation,ย andย best practices toย Anaplan'sย delivery Teams.ย 
    • Ongoingย Workforceย Application improvements and optimizations.ย 
  • Act as a trustedย internal and externalย knowledge expertย for yourย Workforceย Applications.ย 
  • Potentially support Sales and Customer success with prospect and customer opportunitiesย and escalations,ย includingย enablingย Anaplan partners.ย 

Key Metricsย 

  • Meetย theย newย releaseย and upgradeย project deadlines forย Workforceย Applications.
  • Adoption and successful deployment of Workforce Applications from enablement by Anaplan Teams through Customer implementations.ย 

Your Qualificationsย 

  • 5+ years of diverse experience as an Anaplanย Modelย Builder, deployingย workforce,ย financeย or operationalย use cases.ย At leastย Level 3 Certification.ย ย Master Anaplanner preferred.
  • Able to bring an engineering discipline to Anaplan applications - ensuring scalability, configurable functionality and the ability to manage your application build activities through completion and delivery.
  • Ideal but not required:
    • Experience with some of the wider facets of the Anaplan platform (PlanIQ, Optimizer, ADO, Workflow and Polaris, etc).
    • Experience with headcount planning, strategic workforce planning and skills-based capacity planning
    • Understanding of product management, GTM operations and enablement.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and knowledge-sharing skills, with a results-driven perspective, able to collaborate across teams, with a focus on contributing deliverables of the highest possible quality and impact.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.ย
