Job Description

The GSOC Lead Operator serves as the senior operator on shift and supports the GSOC Account Manager by ensuring daily GSOC operations are completed accurately, consistently, and in accordance with established procedures.

  • Maintaining situational awareness, ensuring proper pass-down between shifts.
  • Assisting with incident response and escalation, monitoring access control and CCTV systems, supporting temporary badge procedures, reviewing reports and documentation.
  • Assisting with threat monitoring, executive travel monitoring, and other GSOC intelligence functions.

The Lead Operator provides guidance to GSOC Operators, reinforces established policies and procedures, identifies operational or performance concerns, and escalates significant issues to the GSOC Account Manager.

The position requires strong communication, sound judgment, attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to lead GSOC operations during the assigned shift. Writing skills, and the ability to become proficient in multipole computer applications is required.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of commercial property common areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, documenting relevant observations and incidents.
  • Complete required reports, maintain accurate activity logs, and communicate with Allied Universal leadership and property representatives as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
