Reporting to the Head of Risk, TSX Trust, the Operational Risk Analyst is a critical second-line defense role focused on the integrity of our internal ecosystem. You will be responsible for ensuring the firm operates within OSFI E-21 expectations by identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks arising from people, processes, systems, and external events. This role moves beyond mere compliance to proactively stress-test our operational resilience.Key Accountabilities
  • ORMF Execution: Support the maintenance of the Operational Risk Management Framework (ORMF), ensuring that transfer agency and corporate trust services operate within defined risk appetite limits.

  • RCSA & Control Testing: Facilitate Risk Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs) across business units to identify "blind spots" and validate the design and operating effectiveness of key controls.

  • KRI Management: Lead the collection, aggregation, and analysis of Key Risk Indicators (KRIs); develop automated dashboards to provide the Risk Management Committee (RMC) with early warning signals of process degradation.

  • Operational Risk Events (ORE): Monitor the incident lifecycle, performing deep-dive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on OREs to ensure permanent remediation and prevent recurrence of operational failures.

  • Third-Party & Outsourcing Risk: Conduct rigorous materiality and risk assessments for new and existing outsourcing arrangements, ensuring alignment with OSFI B-10 guidelines.

  • Resilience & Privacy: Provide operational oversight for privacy protocols and business continuity initiatives, ensuring data integrity and service availability.

  • Issue Tracking: Systematically manage the lifecycle of audit findings and self-identified issues within Resolver, ensuring business owners meet remediation deadlines.

  • Governance Support: Act as the lead coordinator for DCRO (Departmental Compliance & Risk Officers) meetings, synthesizing complex risk data into actionable executive reports.

Must Haves
  • Education: Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, or a related field. CRM (Canadian Risk Management) or PRM (Professional Risk Manager) designation is a significant asset.

  • Technical Knowledge: 2-4 years of experience specifically within an Internal Control, Audit, or Operational Risk function.

  • Regulatory Fluency: Strong working knowledge of OSFI Guidelines (specifically E-21 and B-10) and risk frameworks such as COSO or ISO 31000.

  • Analytical Rigor: Proven ability to perform root cause analysis and "connect the dots" between disparate operational incidents.

  • Systems Experience: Proficiency in GRC tools (preferably Resolver) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau or Power BI) for risk reporting.

  • Communication: Ability to challenge first-line business owners effectively while maintaining collaborative professional relationships.

  • Complexity Management: Ability to apply sound judgment and decision-making skills in high-pressure situations with incomplete information.

This role is hybrid (2 - 3 days/week in the office) - based in Toronto, ON.

Salary Range: $60,000/year -$80,000/year CAD.
