JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Sourcing Analyst leads strategic sourcing initiatives that optimize cost, mitigate risk, and deliver measurable value to the organization. This role combines analytical rigor with supplier relationship management and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of procurement best practices, market dynamics, and negotiation strategy within a manufacturing environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES amp; RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, but not limited to:
Strategic Sourcing amp; Category Management
  • Lead end-to-end strategic sourcing initiatives, including supplier identification, evaluation, negotiation, and contract award
  • Develop and execute category strategies aligned with organizational goals
  • Identify and implement cost optimization and value engineering opportunities
  • Conduct competitive bidding processes (RFQ/RFP) to ensure best total cost of ownership
Cost Analysis amp; Market Intelligence
  • Analyze spend data, pricing trends, and cost structures to identify savings opportunities
  • Develop cost models to support negotiation strategy and supplier selection
  • Monitor commodity markets and supply conditions to proactively manage risk
  • Evaluate total cost of ownership, including logistics, lead time, and lifecycle costs
Supplier Relationship amp; Performance Management
  • Establish and maintain strong supplier partnerships
  • Conduct supplier performance reviews (quality, delivery, cost, service)
  • Lead issue resolution and corrective action processes
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives with strategic suppliers
  • Assess and mitigate supply risk through dual sourcing and contingency planning
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Quality to align sourcing decisions with business requirements
  • Support new product introductions (NPI) and design-to-cost initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with technical, commercial, and regulatory requirements
  • Provide sourcing insights to support business planning and forecasting
Contract amp; Procurement Governance
  • Support contract lifecycle management, including renewals, amendments, and compliance tracking
  • Ensure procurement policies and procedures are followed and continuously improved
  • Contribute to process standardization and documentation efforts
  • Maintain accurate data within ERP and procurement systems
Reporting amp; Performance Tracking
  • Track and report sourcing KPIs, cost savings, and value realization
  • Prepare executive summaries and performance dashboards for leadership
  • Monitor supplier scorecards and performance metrics

QUALIFICATIONS amp; REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION amp; EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of procurement or strategic sourcing experience in a manufacturing environment
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: This position operates primarily in a professional, temperature-controlled office environment within a manufacturing facility. The role requires frequent interaction on the shop floor, where exposure to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, and varying noise levels may occur. Temperature conditions may fluctuate seasonally in shop floor areas.
