Job Description

Reporting to the Finance Director, the Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for providing timely financial and operational analysis in a dynamic, lean manufacturing environment. In this role you will analyze results, identify trends, develop reports, and communicate your findings to members of senior management and business partners in an organized and effective manner. The Senior Financial Analyst will also be responsible for process improvements, booking journal entries, and performing account reconciliations. The role will also involve various ad-hoc projects based on the current business needs.

This role will support our Drinking Water Business Unit that is mainly based in our Freeport, IL facility. This position can be located at either our our Freeport, IL facility or our Downers Grove, IL corporate office with travel expectations of 25% to Freeport, IL.

Key Accountabilities

  • Responsible for various month-end closing responsibilities such as journal entries and perform general ledger reconciliations in an accurate and timely manner.

  • Monitors financial and business KPI's throughout the month and produces consolidated reports; summarizing and analyzing actual results against forecast and budget.

  • Review P&L activity and variances for completeness and accuracy.

  • Assist management and business partners in analyzing trends and variances to ensure accurate forecast expectations are being set for the businesses.

  • Responsible for setting and maintaining standard costs.

  • Perform analysis on advisability of expenditure via ROI calculations.

  • Account level and labor efficiency forecast development for our business unit locations.

  • Provide appropriate data analysis to assist management and work with various business partners for annual budget and strategic planning processes.

  • Manage critical elements of financial internal control environment, support annual and internal audit requests.

  • Supports execution of annual physical inventory process.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

  • 5+ years of accounting/finance experience, manufacturing cost accounting experience preferred.

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including intermediate to expert Excel skills; experience working with large data sets; able to manipulate and organize effectively and efficiently

  • Knowledge and experience in ERP or MRP business system, with Oracle experience preferred

  • Excellent organizational, planning, leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Strong problem solving, analytical skills and the ability to balance multiple tasks.

  • Highly motivated with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced, continuous improvement environment (can handle time-sensitive tasks with accuracy and efficiency).

The compensation range identified below are a good faith estimate of the salary expected to be paid as performed from these locations. Actual salaries may vary based on compensable factors including but not limited to skillset, experience, education and training, and other relevant business and organizational factors. Most candidates will start in the lower half of the range.

The Salary Range: $83,000 - $113,000
