Their responsibilities include creating custom workflows, integrating OnBase with other business systems, and optimizing document management processes. They often collaborate with business analysts and end-users to gather requirements, provide technical leadership, and ensure that solutions meet organizational needs. Job description

We're looking for a product leader to own the strategy, roadmap, and cross-team execution for our prior authorization product, customer workflows and the connectivity ecosystem – EHR integrations (Epic, Cerner, and beyond), payer connectivity, and document/data exchange that all come together to create the successful platform for Ai augmented end-to-end prior authorization. This is not an execution-only integrations role: it's a product leadership seat with P&L-adjacent accountability for a core pillar of the product roadmap, direct influence over customer success outcomes, and the mandate to set direction for the engineering, interface, and support teams that build and run this pillar.

You will define what “good” looks like for how the product connects into a customer's clinical and payer workflows, translate that vision into a prioritized roadmap, and direct the cross-functional teams responsible for delivering it - from initial discovery through go-to-market and ongoing customer success. You'll be the executive-facing owner of this domain: the person customers, partners, and internal leadership look to for both the strategy and the standards.

What You’ll Own
  • Product Strategy & Roadmap Leadership
    • Own and direct the roadmap for the product’s connectivity pillar - EHR integrations, payer connectivity, and document exchange - as an extension of overall product strategy.
    • Set priorities for cross-functional teams (engineering, interface/integrations, support) and hold them accountable to roadmap commitments; you are the directing product authority for this domain, not a contributor within someone else's team.
    • Conduct market and competitive research to identify growth opportunities, defend the product’s position, and align sales team on capabilities, supported EHRs, connected Payers and supported specialties
  • Customer Success & Voice of Customer
    • Serve as the executive product owner for customer-facing connectivity outcomes, ensuring integrations meet the product’s guiding standard: customers should never have to monitor, reconcile, manually transcribe, or manually re-upload information between their EHR and the product.
    • Meet directly with customers and implementation leadership to surface issues, shape solutions, and translate requirements into roadmap commitments.
    • Direct internal and customer-facing training, enablement, and documentation so the organization scales without you as a single point of contact.
  • EHR & Payer Connectivity Leadership
    • Set the technical and product standards for the product’s data interfaces (X12 278, FHIR API, CDS Hooks, Da Vinci IGs) across EHRs including Epic and Cerner, and corresponding EDM systems (e.g., OnBase).
    • Define the strategy and standards for payer connectivity and prior authorization submission pathways, directing how the product aggregates and standardizes payer-facing workflows.
    • Direct standardization of customer integrations - pushing custom requests toward centralized, configurable platform features rather than one-off builds.
    • Own the product’s standing within the Epic App Market and equivalent partner ecosystems.
  • Directing Cross-Functional Delivery
    • Direct the interface/integrations engineering team's priorities and backlog, partnering with engineering leadership on staffing, sequencing, and delivery — you set the “what and why,” engineering owns the “how.”
    • Partner with Support and platform/interoperability engineering to ensure monitoring and operational readiness exist to detect downtime and proactively alert customers and internal teams.
    • Coordinate go-to-market plans with Product Marketing and Sales for new connectivity capabilities, and represent this domain in customer and partner conversations.
  • Product Operations & Governance
    • Own product documentation, implementation guides, and success-criteria definitions for testing, beta programs, and product acceptance.
    • Use data (database queries, product analytics) to evaluate payer submission performance, run experiments, and report outcomes to leadership.
    • Track industry and competitor trends across interoperability standards and prior authorization technology to keep the product’s roadmap ahead of the market.
  • Experience implementing and supporting prior authorization automation solutions for provider health systems
  • Background in prior authorization, revenue cycle, or payer connectivity.
  • 3+ years in software product management, with demonstrated ownership of an end-to-end roadmap and direct accountability for cross-team execution.
  • Hands-on experience with Epic prior authorization integrations (X12 278) and a working command of FHIR, CDS Hooks, and Da Vinci implementation guides.
  • A track record of directing or closely partnering with engineering, design, and operations teams to deliver product outcomes — not just contributing to someone else's plan.
  • Comfort operating as the executive-facing owner of a technical domain: presenting to customers, leadership, and partners with equal fluency.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong project/time management across concurrent workstreams.
  • A bias toward action — comfortable making the call, setting direction for others, and owning the outcome.
Preferred
  • Experience with Cerner Millennium or other EHRs (Allscripts, Athena, ModMed, eCW, etc.).
  • Experience building or directing integrations between Epic and third-party products.
  • Startup experience and comfort operating with a high degree of ownership and ambiguity.
  • Product management training or certification.
Here’s What We Offer
  • Generous PTO Benefits: Enjoy PTO benefit accrual of 20 days per year.
  • Parental Leave: Experience one of the industry's best parental leave policies to spend time with your new addition.
  • Rewards & Recognition: Unlock your potential and be rewarded generously with both monetary incentives and widespread recognition for your dedication and outstanding performance.
  • Insurance Benefits: We offer medical, dental, and vision benefits along with 100% company-sponsored short and long-term disability and basic life insurance. Legal aid and pet insurance options are available at a discounted rate.
