Job Summary and Qualifications

Full time- Monday to Friday, no weekends or holidays

What you will do: 

  • Obtains and maintains supplies and/or equipment required to meet the surgical needs of the patient. 
  • Sets up table, instruments and supplies according to routine for each procedure. 
  • Keeps RNTL informed of patient status and assessment findings during the case. 
  • Shares patient information in a timely manner during shift. Documents care as occurs to maintain up to date patient record. 
  • Utilizes equipment and/or supplies in a safe, cost effective manner that eliminates the chance of breakage or abuse. Documents usage equipment to meet patient needs and physicians orders. 
  • Attends mandatory annual educational requirements per unit standards (OSHA, CPR, unit specific needs). 
  • Utilizes available resources for clarification of policies and procedures, i.e., emergency preparedness manuals, MSDS, marker manuals, unit manuals). 
  • Maintains a safe environment for patients and others. Complies with infection control guidelines, i.e., universal precautions, waste segregation, adheres to isolation protocols. 
  • Treat all individuals (patient, family, doctors, visitors, volunteers, vendors and general public) with respect, courtesy and empathy in all situations. 
  • Display a positive attitude as demonstrated through verbal and non-verbal communication. 
  • Perform other duties as required. 
  • Must read, understand, and adhere to all Physician Services policies and procedures. 
  • Practice and adhere to the Code of Conduct and Mission and Value Statement.
