Network Engineer / Cybersecurity Engineer
Support and secure our enterprise infrastructure. Ensuring that IT systems meet the rigorous cybersecurity requirements mandated under the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) framework, particularly for safeguarding Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).
Enterprise network engineering and DoD-aligned cybersecurity practices
Key Responsibilities:
Network Engineering
  • Design, deploy, and maintain secure LAN/WAN architectures to support internal operations and DoD contracts.
  • Configure and manage enterprise-grade firewalls, routers, switches, VPNs, and VLANs.
  • Ensure high availability and resilience of networks through load balancing, redundancy, and proactive monitoring.
  • Maintain detailed network diagrams, configuration documentation, and change control logs in accordance with DoD IT policies.

Cybersecurity & CMMC Compliance
  • Implement, monitor, and continuously improve technical controls aligned with CMMC Level 2+ and NIST SP 800-171.
  • Assist in the development and enforcement of system security plans (SSPs), incident response plans, and configuration management plans.
  • Deploy and manage security tools such as IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, SIEM, vulnerability scanners, and DLP solutions.
  • Support continuous monitoring, logging, and audit readiness efforts to ensure compliance with DoD cyber hygiene requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external assessors during cybersecurity audits and CMMC assessments.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related field - or equivalent military or commercial experience.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of combined experience in network and cybersecurity roles.
