Job Description
We have a role for a Senior Network Design Engineer with 8 years of overall experience with Network Security Principles and Cisco. It would be a plus (not required) if the candidate also has a CCIE or CCDE Certification. It would also be a plus for someone who's worked for a Workforce Commission Client in the past (but not required. • Highly motivated, skilled, and experienced Senior Network Engineer (Design Focus) with a strong security experience to play a crucial role in the design, development, and implementation of Texas Workforce Commission's (TWC) data network infrastructure. Requires a deep understanding of network security principles, Cisco technologies, and industry best practices. Certification as a Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) or Cisco Certified Design Expert (CCDE). Demonstrate expertise in network design assessment and be capable of leading complex enterprise state network initiatives. Ensure the secure and reliable delivery of Information Technology services to TWC and the people of Texas. Perform other duties as assigned to maintain operations.
Minimum Requirements: Candidates that do not meet or exceed the minimum stated requirements (skills/experience) will not be considered for this opportunity.
8 Experience in gathering and analyzing business requirements and developing network specifications
8 Experience in design, development, and implementation of data network infrastructure
8 Experience in network security principles
8 Experience in Cisco technologies and industry best practices
8 Experience in network design assessment and be capable of leading complex enterprise state network initiatives
8 Experience executing test plans, assisting team members in performing and completing test activities; coordinating, monitoring, and performing testing, and facilitating user acceptance testing
8 Demonstrated ability in working with stakeholders and development team; experience facilitating productive meetings to formulate business requirements and communicating stakeholder needs to technical staff
